What Moves U
What Moves U is a program designed to reward your students for what they already should be doing. . . moving! As a coach, you have access to the teacher's site with lesson plans, resources to get your kids involved, and coupons to reward them for their work. But it's more than just another rewards program. The What Moves U curriculum meets National Education Standards; providing you a way to teach subjects while incorporating movement into the classroom. Why should your kids sign up?

1. Because they can win prizes just for being active.
2. Because they can win a trip to the Super Bowl or Pro Bowl.
3. There are fun games to play and even a few interesting things to learn.
4. Because they know a bunch of other kids who have.
5. Because they know a bunch of other kids who will.

Visit WhatMovesU.org now to sign up and get them moving!

The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame (NFF), the National Football League (NFL), and the NFL Players Association implements the highly successful Play It Smart program in urban high schools in each of the 32 NFL franchise cities, with five schools in the City of Philadelphia.

Play It Smart, a program designed to use the power of football experience in enhancing the personal and academics development of youth football economically disadvantaged communities, has sent 87 percent of its seniors onto higher education, far exceeding the rates of their school peers. Play It Smart began in 1998 and has more than doubled in size each year, entering 88 high schools this fall in 55 cities and 30 states with an estimated 5,100 student-athletes participating.

Junior Player Development
The National Football League has developed an introductory/ developmental youth tackle football program for boys 12-14. The program is designed to teach every participant, every position, through a step-by-step progression of skill instruction packaged in a fun and entertaining manner. All participants receive instruction from NFL selected high school coaches from the local market and counseling through a life skills/character development curriculum incorporated through all on-field activities. Every week a different life skill message is designated as a theme for that particular week. Each theme is addressed through the context of football. Instructors will make connections between life skills as they are applied in football as well as other areas of life, especially school, at home and in the community.

High School Player Development
NFL High School Player Development (NFL HSPD) is a program designed to address the issues that face high school football programs in communities-in-need. Urban-based high school coaches, college football recruiters (Divisions I - III), collegiate coaches (Divisions I - III), NFL General Managers and Player Personnel Directors have all identified a core group of common issues, including a lack of feeder systems, a deficiency in the fundamentals of the game, and academic disqualification of many football players. NFL HSPD provides incoming, fall season, sophomores through seniors, a program that focuses academic counseling and specific football skill training by position. Each participant gains a full awareness of what is necessary to become a successful high school and collegiate student-athlete, along with the resources and information to meet the NCAA Clearinghouse requirements.

The Coach of the Week Program gives high school coaches the recognition they deserve, and provides high schools financial assistance in maintaining and upgrading their football programs. Each week during the high school football season, the Eagles will select one high school football coach as the COW winner. Each recipient receives several items and privileges, including the award itself and a $1,000 donation to the school's football program from NFL Charities.
