The Eagles strengthened one of the best position groups on the roster Thursday agreeing to terms with 11th-year veteran safety Corey Graham on a one-year deal. This will be Graham's fourth NFL team, as he previously suited up for the Bears, Ravens, and Bills.

A 2011 Pro Bowl selection as a special teams player, Graham comes to Philadelphia with ties to defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz and vice president of player personnel Joe Douglas. Graham played for Schwartz in 2014 as a member of the Bills. A team captain, Graham started nine of the 16 games he played in that season at cornerback and had a career-high 15 passes defensed to go along with 76 tackles.

"He’s a very good leader. He's a student of the game," Schwartz said of Graham back in 2014. "He's an excellent professional, meaning that he prepares every day. He's competitive. He plays the ball down the field very well. He's a good tackler. He's very assignment sound. He gives coaches a lot of confidence in him."

The Eagles have one of the league's best starting safety duos in Malcolm Jenkins and Rodney McLeod. Terrence Brooks and Jaylen Watkins are battling for the third safety spot, while Chris Maragos is one of the league's best special teams players.

Graham moved to safety in 2015 and started all 32 games over the past two seasons. Last year, Graham had 82 tackles, one interception, one sack, and nine passes defensed. In his three years with the Bills, Graham had 281 tackles, the fourth most by any NFL defensive back.

After not playing in the first three games of his rookie season, Graham has played in 157 straight contests. Only Pittsburgh's William Gay has a longer streak of consecutive games played (160) among NFL defensive backs. Graham has 506 career tackles, 58 passes defensed, 15 interceptions, three sacks, three forced fumbles, and one touchdown.

A fifth-round pick of the Bears in 2007 out of New Hampshire, Graham was selected just six spots behind tight end Brent Celek. Graham spent five seasons with the Bears. He signed with the Ravens in 2012 and started eight games for the Super Bowl champions. Douglas was the national scout for Baltimore at the time. Graham played for the Ravens again in 2013 before joining the Bills.
