On Thursday, the Eagles released running back Kevin Monangai and defensive tackle Travis Raciti. The move clears more roster space for the incoming group of undrafted free agents.
A four-year letterman at Villanova, Kevin Monangai appeared in 45 games for the Wildcats, finishing his career with 3,167 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns on 618 carries while adding 274 receving yards and five touchdowns on 38 career receptions. He signed with the Eagles before the 2015 season and remained on the practice squad for most of the season.
A 2015 rookie free agent signee of the Philadelphia Eagles, Travis Raciti signed to the Eagles practice squad following Week 1 of the 2015 season. He appeared in 49 games with 45 starts at defensive tackle for the San Jose State Spartans during his four-year career. He enrolled at SJSU in February 2010 as a tight end/defensive end prospect and went on to become one of just seven players in school history to be voted a team captain in multiple seasons, serving as a junior in 2013 and a senior in 2014.
