Quarterback Nick Foles and the Philadelphia Eagles are headed to Super Bowl LII after claiming the NFC Championship in Sunday night's 38-7 win over the Minnesota Vikings at Lincoln Financial Field.

Foles completed 25 of 33 passes for 352 yards with three touchdowns in the win, his strongest performance since taking over as the starting quarterback this season.

"I felt good before the game. Being in the NFC Championship game, my first time ever playing in it," Foles said. "Just the journey that's happened the last several years, it's an emotional thing so you just want to settle in, but very soon just looking at the guys on the sidelines, pregame, being in the locker room everyone was just locked in."

Foles and the offense quickly got things going early in the second quarter after answering the Vikings' only touchdown of the game. Vikings quarterback Case Keenum threw a 25-yard touchdown to tight end Kyle Rudolph late in the first quarter.

"We wanted to be aggressive, this is Minnesota, one of the best teams in football, obviously their defense is one of the top defenses in the league," Foles said.

"So we had to go right at them and be aggressive and we were able to execute well. That's a great team but I was really proud of our guys for our execution today and we were able to get a great victory and now we're heading to the Super Bowl. It's pretty unreal."

Foles' first touchdown of the game was a 53-yard pass to wide receiver Alshon Jeffery which gave the Eagles a 21-7 lead over the Vikings in the second quarter.

"It was sort of a broken play where they thought they probably had a sack and I was able to get out and Alshon made an amazing play," Foles said. "He saw the coverage and he sort of approached it like a scramble drill and I was able to get away and get the ball out there to him, he made a great catch. The O-line did a great job blocking all night, first and foremost."

Foles' second touchdown of 40-plus yards was to wide receiver Torrey Smith. The 41-yard touchdown off of a flea-flicker opened up the second half of the game and gave the Eagles a 31-7 lead.

"I don't know if I've ever run a flea-flicker so it was my first time, so I just tried not to smile," Foles said. "Because anytime you're a quarterback and you can do a little play like that, it's pretty exciting. Sometimes they go really bad, so I'm just glad it worked and we were able to get a touchdown out of it."

Jeffery found the end zone yet again 50 seconds into the final quarter of the game. Foles' 5-yard pass to Jeffery gave the Eagles the final score of the game.

"I think the big thing tonight is we were able to do a bunch of different stuff," Foles said. "If you watch the game, we tried to keep them out of rhythm because that defense does a really good job if they can catch your rhythm. They were almost unstoppable but we were able to keep them off balance and any time you go against any sort of defense you want to keep them off balance so I think we did a great job of that. The coaches did an amazing job giving us the scheme this week and the guys did a great job executing."

Foles and the Eagles are now preparing for their third Super Bowl appearance in franchise history and their first since 2004.

"Words can't really describe what I feel right now, I said it out there, all glory belongs to God. Wouldn't be here without any of that. I'm grateful and humbled to be a part of this team, to be in this moment, to share it with our family, our fans, all of the people that love the Philadelphia Eagles, this franchise, and my teammates. It is honestly unbelievable, words just can't describe," Foles said.

Foles credits the success the Eagles have had this season to the undying support they show for one another, no matter the trials or tribulations they may face.

"I'm going to say it again, we lean on each other, we play for each other, and that's what is special about this team is there is never going to be a time when we turn on each other. We're always going to be there to support each other and that's a beautiful thing about the Philadelphia Eagles," he said.
