EYP Lands $15,000 Grant For Eye Mobile
San Francisco-based McKesson Corporation recently awarded Eagles Youth Partnership a $15,000 grant through its Regional Grants Program. McKesson is the nation's largest distributor of pharmaceutical and health-care products and the world's largest provider of health information technology.
EYP was one of six nonprofit organizations in the Philadelphia area to be awarded a grant. The grant was awarded to the Eagles Eye Mobile program, which provides much needed vision care for students in the Philadelphia and Chester-Upland School Districts. Since its inception in 1996, more than 20,000 children in distressed neighborhoods in Philadelphia and Chester have received comprehensive eye examinations, vision correction and education about eye care.
