SUMMARY

In its third year, the Eagles High School Football Showdown, sponsored by the Rothman Institute at Jefferson, will recognize high school football teams and their coaches in the tri-state area. During eight weeks of the season, the Eagles will cover stories both on and off the field in the world of high school football. Each team that participates in the Eagles High School Football Showdown will be awarded grant dollars to use for their program and the opportunity for their matchup to be highlighted on Eagles' social channels and in-stadium.

2019 DON SHULA COACH OF THE YEAR

Every year, each NFL team nominates a high school football coach to be considered for the Don Shula Coach of the Year award, which honors coaches that display integrity, achievement and leadership within their school and community. Each team's coach will be invited to 2020 Pro Bowl in Orlando, FL to participate in the USA Football National Conference, attend the game and enjoy other activities throughout the week. Submissions are reviewed by a group of panelists, with finalists receiving grant money from the NFL Foundation. The winner will be revealed at a Press Conference during Super Bowl week in Minneapolis.
