As the Eagles' rookies arrived for the start of Rookie Minicamp, wide receiver Johnny Wilson wasted no time taking care of business by signing his four-year rookie contract.

Here are five things to know about Wilson, the team's sixth-round pick (185th overall):

  1. Wilson started his college career under the watchful eye of former Eagle Herm Edwards at Arizona State. However, Wilson decided to transfer after playing in just eight games over his first two seasons. In 2022, Wilson moved to Florida State and earned All-ACC recognition in each of his final two seasons. He finished his college career with 102 receptions for 1,757 receiving yards, and eight touchdowns.
  1. Wilson is legitimately the biggest receiver drafted in the last 10 years. His height (6'6 3/8"), arm length (35 3/8"), and wingspan (84 1/2") are all the biggest of any wideout drafted in that time span.
  1. Wilson is one of just four receivers drafted in the last decade who weighed at least 230 pounds at the Combine while running at least 4.55 in the 40-yard dash.
  1. According to The Athletic's Bruce Feldman, Wilson was clocked at 21.2 MPH in the 2022 season. DeVonta Smith hit that mark once last season on offense, the fastest time for any Eagles receiver last fall.
  1. Said Director of Player Personnel Alan Wolking of Wilson: "The physical stature is really just an anomaly. He can make some of the most spectacular catches … and what you see is that he has the ability to get balls that almost no one can get to."
