Biography

Community Involvement: Community service has been an integral part of my life ever since I was a little girl in Girl Scouts. For several years, I volunteered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation by putting on multiple fundraising events across my college campus. All proceeds from these events went towards granting wishes to children battling life-threatening illnesses. Working with this organization is a big reason why I chose to work in the field I'm in today. In addition, I adopted an elementary school library in the Philippines to properly equip and upgrade the learning space. I hosted fundraising events and book drives across the Tri-State area, which resulted in the donation of more than 2,000 books and other essential resources and supplies. Having the opportunity to give back to the community in the country where my parents were born and raised meant the world to me.

Favorite Appearance: In honor of the NFL's Crucial Catch Initiative, I had the opportunity to visit patients undergoing oncology care at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) who helped us design our game day jackets for the Philadelphia Eagles' Crucial Catch home game. The opportunity to bring Eagles spirit and joy to the children at CHOP was such a special and memorable experience for me, especially as someone working in the cancer research field. It was exciting getting to honor and showcase the children's creativity for a stadium full of fans on game day while also bringing awareness to the league's Crucial Catch mission to fight cancer through early detection and risk reduction.
