We saw just how impactful Dallas Goedert is when he's healthy and a big part of the Eagles' passing game in the postseason, when Goedert recorded 17 receptions for 215 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the four games, showing the best of what he can do: Great hands, excellent ability after the run and the skills to create space on his route running. Goedert also played a huge part for the Eagles as an in-line blocker, and when he is healthy, he is a complete tight end. Goedert missed six games with injury, the only blemish in his championship season.
When Goedert wasn't on the field, the Eagles utilized Grant Calcaterra as a weapon in the passing game. An improved blocker, Calcaterra had a breakout performance in his third NFL season, catching 24 passes for 298 yards and a score. He is expected to take another leap in his fourth season, improving as a blocker and gaining confidence in the passing game.
Veteran C.J. Uzomah played in seven games, with three starts, and served his role as a blocking tight end well.
The Eagles also had a glimpse at E.J. Jenkins, who saw action in 95 snaps in eight games and scored a 7-yard touchdown on his one reception of the season. Also on the roster: Nick Muse, who spent time with the Eagles on the practice squad during 2024, and Cameron Latu, who was signed to a free agent contract in 2025.
Free Agents
Uzomah, a 10-year NFL veteran, is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent in March.
Bird Talk
Head coach Nick Sirianni on Dallas Goedert
"I can't say enough about what he brings to this football team He has an ability to make plays in big moments. I think that just speaks to how calm, cool and confident he is. When you're confident in yourself in those moments, you shine in those moments. And then there are all the things he does in the run game for us, which are so important."
Notable Stat
Since taking over as the Eagles' primary tight end in 2021, Dallas Goedert ranks sixth among NFL TEs in receiving yards (2,620) and is third among NFL TEs in average yards per reception (12.4).
Under the Microscope
The ability to play a full season of games has been the only challenge for Goedert, who missed seven games in 2024 – he also missed three in 2023 and five games in 2022 – so how does that impact the Eagles' thinking as they look at the tight end position?
