The 2018 season marks my 25 years of ownership with the Philadelphia Eagles. I thought it was only fitting to take a pause and reflect on our time together, as your support of the team has inspired me every day since May 19, 1994, the day I officially became owner of the Philadelphia Eagles.
It has been an incredible journey with some life-changing moments along the way – both on and off the field. Through it all – the highs and lows – we stuck together, as we are family.
It all started with that first press conference at City Hall. The enthusiasm you showed on that day was amazing, and that feeling of pride and commitment has never left me.
The past 25 years have produced so many memories since that press conference. Veterans Stadium was an intimidating place to play for visiting teams. We took that fire and passion across Pattison Avenue to Lincoln Financial Field. We went from practicing on a grass field in a concrete parking lot to the state-of-the-art training facilities at the NovaCare Complex.
We have captured eight NFC East titles and advanced to six NFC Championship Games. We pushed through to the Super Bowl in 2004. And, in 2017, we accomplished our ultimate goal of bringing the first Lombardi Trophy to Philadelphia. And, who can forget Jason Kelce's speech dressed as a Mummer! Like many of you, that day – the parade down Broad Street and the celebration on the Art Museum steps – will forever be part of our history. It was magical and enlightening to share that historic moment, filled with tears of joy and happiness, with each of you. The special bond between you, our players, and this organization is what pushes us to win more Championships in the future. I can't wait to do it all over again!
Off the field, I'm incredibly proud of the work we've been able to accomplish together to make an impact in the Greater Philadelphia community:
- The **Eagles Autism Challenge** raised more than $2.5 million for cutting-edge autism research in its first year.
- Our **Go Green program** has become a leader in the industry, which most recently led Lincoln Financial Field to earning LEED Gold status by the U.S. Green Building Council. Our solar panels are the largest in the NFL, making us one of the greenest teams in all of sports.
- **22 playgrounds** have been revitalized at elementary schools throughout the Philadelphia area.
- The **Eagles Eye Mobile** has administered 93,800 vision screenings and distributed 61,675 pairs of free eyeglasses to children in the region.
Thank you, Philadelphia, for a remarkable 25 years. There is no greater privilege or pleasure than being the owner of the Philadelphia Eagles and I am excited to help create many more great memories with you in the years ahead.
