Alicia Marie will be representing the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders at the 2015 NFL Pro Bowl taking place on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, site of Super Bowl XLIX. The game will be televised live on ESPN beginning at 8:00 PM EST. Alicia Marie will spend the week leading up to the Pro Bowl making numerous public appearances in Arizona and rehearsing with Pro Bowl Cheerleaders from across the NFL for their featured performances.
After being announced during the 3rd quarter of the Cowboys vs. Eagles game, Alicia Marie expressed, ""This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity and I feel so honored and humbled to be chosen! My 38 teammates, whom I am lucky enough to call friends, are phenomenal women that exude positivity. Working with them every day is one of the best parts of being on the squad, so I am looking forward to representing them in Arizona. I am also looking forward to meeting the other women that will be representing their respective teams and sharing in this incredible experience."
A third year member of the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders, Alicia Marie graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2011, with a B.S. in Education and also graduated Magna Cum Laude from Villanova University with a M.A. in History. Alicia Marie has been inducted into several honor societies, most notably Phi Alpha Theta and Rho Gamma. As a graduate student, Alicia Marie received a scholarship from Villanova University to work as a Graduate Recruitment Advisor and Teaching Assistant.
Alicia Marie was named the Wells Fargo Education Manager for the prestigious Historical Society of Pennsylvania. In this coveted role, she is the lead educator for their new program "HEAD for the future," that promotes document-based learning in the K-12 classroom. She was recently published in the journal Pennsylvania Legacies and hosts presentations at various schools and educational conferences both regionally and nationally.
Alicia Marie is very active in the community and passionate about promoting breast cancer awareness. She recently appeared on NFL AM's segment "Behind the Pom Poms" on NFL Network where she was able to reach a national audience to communicate the importance of preventive healthcare. She hopes her story can inspire other young women to reach for their goals, both professionally and personally, regardless of medical setbacks.
A talented performer and fan favorite, Alicia Marie is prominently showcased in the Eagles Cheerleaders Eco-Friendly Swimsuit Calendar and Calendar App, and has appeared at numerous high profile events including the NFL Draft at Radio City Music Hall and New York Fashion Week.
