First-round draft pick Jeremy Maclin has now missed 13 practices after Monday afternoon's workout. Every draft pick behind Maclin is under contract. But a number of players ahead of Maclin remained without a deal. However, one of those players agreed to terms on Monday. And it was for the player drafted directly in front of Maclin.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Broncos and defensive end Robert Ayers agreed to terms on a five-year deal. Ayers was the 18th overall selection in the draft.
Maclin was one of six wide receivers drafted in the first round. He was the third of the six receivers picked. The only other receiver without a contract is Michael Crabtree, who was picked 10th by the 49ers.
