Trestman was never connected to the Eagles' head coaching job in any fashion. The 57-year-old Trestman was an NFL assistant for 17 years before spending the past five seasons with the Alouettes of the Canadian Football League where he won two Grey Cup championships.
The other two reported finalists for the Bears' job were Seattle offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell and Indianapolis offensive coordinator Bruce Arians. Of those two, the Eagles have been granted permission to speak with Arians, but have not yet set up a date.
The Eagles met with Seattle defensive coordinator Gus Bradley on Tuesday. There have been no updates other than the meeting ended around 10 PM, per multiple reports. Bradley is reportedly scheduled to meet with Jacksonville on Wednesday, but it is uncertain whether he will keep the appointment.
