Headed into this weekend's game against the Cowboys, the Eagles have had a few lingering injuries and on Friday, head coach Doug Pederson gave updates on the status of two specific players. Pederson said defensive tackle Bennie Logan (groin) and linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill (hamstring) are both officially out for this weekend's game in Dallas.
Logan, who missed last Sunday's matchup against the Vikings, has not practiced since Week 6 due to the groin injury he sustained in the first half of the Washington game.
"It's huge. It's big any time you lose a great player like Bennie for a couple of weeks, but I've always been under the next-man-up mentality," Pederson said. "That's where we're at. Did a nice job filling in last week with even just three tackles last week and now the addition of Taylor (Hart) gives us a little more depth at that. But yeah, any time you lose a player like Bennie in the middle it can definitely hurt you a little bit."
On Thursday, defensive tackle Taylor Hart (ankle) was added to the team's injury report as a limited participant and did not practice on Friday. He is questionable for the game. The other three Eagles listed, Mychal Kendricks (rib), Ronald Darby (knee) and Jason Peters (biceps), were all full-go by Friday. Pederson said he expects all four players to be available this Sunday.
For the Cowboys, there were 12 players on their injury report, including wide receiver Dez Bryant (knee), cornerback Orlando Scandrick (hamstring/hamstring) and tackle Tyron Smith (back). All three were limited throughout the week and are questionable for Sunday.
