The rate of diabetes has continuously increased year after year in the City of Philadelphia. That is why the Eagles and Novo Nordisk have partnered together for the "Tackle Your Health" program.
The program encourages people to learn more about risk factors associated with Type 2 diabetes and obesity and share simple steps fans can take to be the healthiest they can be. As part of the Tackle Your Health program, fans will be entered to win fun Eagles prizes, like tickets to an Eagles game, after completing a simple five-question risk health assessment.

• In Philadelphia, nearly 1 million adults will be estimated to have diabetes in 2030. That is enough to fill the seats at Lincoln Financial Field over 14 times.
• Among the top 10 most populous cities in the U.S., Philadelphia ranks 4th in diabetes prevalence with a 12.7% rate.
Eagles legend Brian Dawkins knows the importance of diabetes and obesity awareness. Dawkins is partnering with Novo Nordisk to support the Tackle Your Health campaign because he understands the seriousness of these diseases and wants to encourage the community to live their healthiest life possible. Dawkins never knew the struggles his parents went through with Type 2 diabetes while growing up. Now, he teaches them and his children healthy habits.
"I want to set an example for my family. Knowing Type 2 diabetes is a part of my family's history, I encourage my kids to live healthy lifestyles," Dawkins said. "Even small changes to our eating habits and movement practices can make a difference."
The Tackle Your Health program encourages the community to adopt a more active lifestyle by motivating people to get screened for diabetes and obesity risks and to start building a wellness team that will help them reach their fitness goals.
