The Eagles announced Monday that cornerback De'Vante Bausby has returned to the team as a member of the practice squad. The second-year player out of Pittsburg State was signed by the Eagles on February 13 after spending 2017 on the practice squad. Following this year's 53-man roster cutdown, Bausby was signed to the practice squad on September 2 only to be released from the practice squad on September 11.
Bausby, a 6-2, 190-pound corner, was originally signed by the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2015. He played on the Chicago Bears' practice squad and was briefly a member of the active roster in 2016. After spending Training Camp with the Chiefs in 2017, Bausby was added to the Eagles' practice squad for the 2017 season. In four preseason games in 2018, including one start against the New York Jets on August 30, Bausby compiled 18 tackles and two pass deflections. His addition brings the practice squad to its full 10 members.
