At halftime, the Eagles and Cowboys have yet to put points on the board as the score remains 0-0. Both teams have had little success moving the ball combining for just 216 yards of total offense. It's the first game since 2011 to be scoreless at halftime, and it's the first time every in the Cowboys-Eagles series that neither team scored in the opening 30 minutes.

On the opening drive, the offense went for it on fourth-and-7 at the Dallas 39 but quarterback Nick Foles' pass attempt to wide receiver Torrey Smith fell incomplete. The Eagles defense responded with a fourth-down stop, shutting down Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott for a 2-yard loss on fourth-and-1.

With under five minutes remaining in the first quarter, Foles had his pass intended for wide receiver Alshon Jeffery intercepted by cornerback Chidobe Awuzie at the Dallas 48 yard-line.

Quarterback Nate Sudfeld checked into the game replacing Foles and completed his first NFL completion to wide receiver Nelson Agholor on a 4-yard pickup. He later completed a 17-yard pass on third-and-13 but the play was brought back due to a holding penalty on the offense.

The Cowboys will receive to start the second half.
