Head coach Doug Pederson announced on Friday morning that wide receiver DeSean Jackson will be out for the Lions game with an abdomen injury. Jackson suffered this injury in the matchup against the Falcons last Sunday and will not practice today.
"DeSean will be out of this game," Pederson said.
Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery did not practice all week and tight end Dallas Goedert was limited on Friday. Both have calf injuries. They suffered their injuries last Sunday, with Goedert's occurring during pre-game warmups. Pederson is still hopeful that both guys can be ready for the NFC showdown in two days.
"I'm still optimistic," Pederson said. "We'll see today and then obviously wait until gameday."
After practice on Friday, the injury report stated Corey Clement (shoulder), Tim Jernigan (foot), and Jordan Mailata (back) are also out for the game on Sunday in addition to Jackson. Linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill (knee) is doubtful for the Lions-Eagles matchup. Jeffery, Goedert, and quarterback Nate Sudfeld (left wrist) are questionable for the Week 3 contest. Everyone else is good to go.
