The Philadelphia Eagles have announced the following coaching staff changes:

Rich Scangarello – Senior Offensive Assistant
Rich Scangarello joins the Eagles' coaching staff as a senior offensive assistant after spending the 2019 season as the offensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos. Scangarello brings 17 years of collegiate coaching experience and six years of NFL coaching experience to Philadelphia.
Prior to his time with the Broncos, Scangarello spent two seasons (2017-18) as the quarterbacks coach for the San Francisco 49ers. In addition to his stints with Denver and San Francisco, Scangarello served as an offensive quality control/assistant quarterbacks coach for the Oakland Raiders in 2009 and an offensive assistant for the Atlanta Falcons in 2015.
Scangarello began his collegiate coaching career in 1998 as a graduate assistant at UC-Davis. He went on to work as a grad assistant at Idaho in 2000 before becoming the offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach at Carleton College. Scangarello returned to Idaho to serve as the quarterbacks coach from 2002-03 before he began a five-year tenure at UC-Davis, first working as the team's passing game coordinator/wide receivers coach from 2004-07 and then as the co-offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach in 2008.
In addition to his early college coaching positions, Scangarello has also coached at Millsaps College (2010-11), Northern Arizona University (2012-14), and Wagner College (2016).
Press Taylor – Passing Game Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach
Press Taylor enters his eighth season with the Eagles and will add the title of passing game coordinator to his current role as the team's quarterbacks coach.
In 2019, under Taylor's direction, quarterback Carson Wentz set new single-season franchise records in completions (388) and passing yards (4,039), while tying for fifth in the NFL with 27 touchdown passes. During Taylor's first season as quarterbacks coach (2018), Wentz registered the highest completion percentage (69.6) in franchise history.
Taylor originally joined the Eagles as an offensive quality control coach during the 2013 offseason, was elevated to assistant quarterbacks coach in 2016, and was promoted to quarterbacks coach during the 2018 offseason.
Matt Burke – Run Game Coordinator/Defensive Line Coach
Matt Burke joined the Eagles' coaching staff in 2019 as a defensive special assistant and has been named the team's run game coordinator/defensive line coach.
Burke, who has accumulated 17 years of NFL coaching experience, served as the Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator from 2017-18 prior to coming to Philadelphia.
Burke originally joined the Dolphins' staff as the team's linebackers coach in 2016 after spending the previous two seasons coaching linebackers for the Cincinnati Bengals (2014-15). In Burke's first season as Miami's defensive coordinator (2017), the Dolphins' defense improved from 29th overall in the NFL to 16th. Additionally, Miami's run defense improved from 30th in 2016 to 14th in 2017.
Prior to his stints in Miami and Cincinnati, Burke coached linebackers for the Detroit Lions from 2009-13 under current Eagles defensive coordinator and former Lions head coach Jim Schwartz. Burke began his NFL coaching career with the Tennessee Titans in 2004 and spent the next five years working under Schwartz, who served as the Titans' defensive coordinator from 2001-08.
Marquand Manuel – Defensive Backs Coach
Marquand Manuel joins the Eagles' coaching staff as the defensive backs coach and most recently served as the defensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons from 2017-18.
In 2017, Manuel's Falcons defense finished in the top 10 in yards per game (318.4, 9th), rushing yards per game (104.1, 9th), red zone defense (45.8 pct., 5th), and points per game (19.7, 8th). Prior to being named defensive coordinator, Manuel worked for the Falcons as a secondary coach/senior defensive assistant from 2015-16.
Manuel began his NFL coaching career in 2012 as a defensive assistant/special teams assistant for the Seattle Seahawks. Before getting into coaching, Manuel enjoyed an eight-year NFL career as a defensive back for the Cincinnati Bengals, Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers, Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos, and Detroit Lions. A sixth-round draft choice of the Bengals in 2002, Manuel finished his NFL career with 332 tackles, two interceptions, 16 passes defensed, four forced fumbles, and 36 tackles on special teams.
A native of Miami, Manuel was a four-year letterman at the University of Florida where he finished his career with 308 tackles and 6 interceptions. He graduated in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in criminology and law.
Aaron Moorehead – Wide Receivers Coach
Aaron Moorehead has been hired as the Eagles' wide receivers coach after spending the last two years coaching the same position at Vanderbilt University.
Prior to coaching at Vanderbilt, Moorehead coached the wide receivers at Texas A&M from 2015-17. He began his coaching career as an offensive graduate assistant at the University of New Mexico in 2009 and went on to coach at Stanford University (2010-12) and Virginia Tech (2013-14).
A native of Deerfield, IL, Moorehead played collegiately at the University of Illinois and went on to enjoy a five-year NFL career with the Indianapolis Colts. During his time in the NFL, Moorehead compiled 31 catches for 330 yards and helped the Colts capture Super Bowl XLI in 2006.
Andrew Breiner – Pass Game Analyst
Andrew Breiner joins the Eagles' coaching staff from Mississippi State where he has spent the last two seasons as the Bulldogs' pass game coordinator/quarterbacks coach.
Prior to joining the Mississippi State staff, Breiner was the head coach at Fordham University from 2016-17. During his first year as head coach, Breiner led Fordham to an 8-3 record, marking the most wins by a first-year head coach in the school's modern era. Additionally, the 2016 Rams ranked fourth in the FCS in both total offense (498.2 ypg) and scoring offense (40.1 ppg).
Before becoming head coach of the Rams, Breiner served as Fordham's offensive coordinator from 2012-15. In 2014, Breiner's offense set new single-season school records in rushing yards (2,353), points (569), and rushing touchdowns (31). In 2013, quarterback Mike Nebrich was named the 2013 Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year after setting Fordham single-season records in completions (353), passing yards (4,380), and passing touchdowns (35).
A native of Hummelstown, PA, Breiner earned four letters as a wide receiver at Lock Haven University. Breiner began his coaching career at his alma mater in 2006, spent two seasons coaching at Allegheny College (2007-08), and coached three years at the University of Connecticut (2009-11) before beginning his coaching tenure at Fordham.
T.J. Paganetti – Assistant Run Game Coordinator/Assistant Running Backs Coach
T.J. Paganetti enters his fourth season on Philadelphia's coaching staff and adds the title of assistant run game coordinator to his former position as the team's assistant running backs coach. Paganetti originally joined the organization in 2013 as an analyst working with the offense and quarterbacks. He rejoined the team in 2017 as the offensive quality control/assistant offensive line coach and was named the assistant running backs coach in 2019.
Prior to his work with the Eagles, the Bedford, MA, native held stints with the Oregon Ducks football program. Paganetti served as the program's undergraduate intern in 2007 and 2008 working with the offense before becoming a student assistant coach from 2009-12 working with the offense and quarterbacks. Following his graduation in 2012, Paganetti was elevated to the position of offensive intern where he worked with the quarterbacks. After his first two seasons with the Eagles, Paganetti returned to Oregon as a graduate assistant/linebackers coach for the 2015-16 seasons.
Dino Vasso – Assistant Coordinator/Defense
Dino Vasso, who originally joined the Eagles' coaching staff in 2016 as the team's defensive quality control/assistant secondary coach, has been named assistant coordinator/defense.
Vasso served as the assistant secondary coach during Philadelphia's 2017 Super Bowl LII-winning campaign. The Eagles' defense that year produced the fourth-most takeaways in the league (31) and ranked third in third-down defense (32.2 pct.). On the year, Philadelphia's secondary gave up just 24 touchdown receptions, which marked the fewest touchdowns surrendered by an Eagles defense since 2008 (19).
Prior to arriving in Philadelphia, Vasso spent three seasons as a coaching assistant with the Kansas City Chiefs (2013-15). During his time in Kansas City, Vasso worked primarily with the secondary.
A native of Crum Lynne, PA, Vasso lettered in football, basketball, and track at Ridley High School in Folsom, PA. A four-year defensive back at the University of New Hampshire (2006-10), Vasso started 51 consecutive games and earned first-team AFCA All-American honors as a senior.
