The Eagles signed 16 players to their practice squad on Sunday afternoon and some familiar and interesting names are on the list. The team took advantage of the new rule in 2020 that allows for up to six veterans of any experience to be on the practice squad.
One of those six veterans is 41-year-old quarterback Josh McCown, who nearly engineered a dramatic come-from-behind victory in the NFC Wild Card Round against the Seattle Seahawks in January. It was the first playoff appearance in 17 NFL seasons for McCown, who completed 18 of 24 pass attempts for 174 yards, earning a 94.8 passer rating in relief of Carson Wentz. He was the oldest player in NFL history to make his postseason debut. McCown signed with the Eagles during Training Camp in 2019 and served as the primary backup. In 104 regular-season games, McCown has thrown for 17,731 yards and 98 touchdowns.
Here are the other players signed to the Eagles' practice squad on Sunday. There is one open spot remaining:
• DB Grayland Arnold
• WR Deontay Burnett
• WR Travis Fulgham
• RB Elijah Holyfield
• C Luke Juriga
• RB Adrian Killins
• G Sua Opeta
• DE Joe Ostman
• DB Elijah Riley
• T Prince Tega Wanogho
• RB Michael Warren
• DT Raequan Williams
• DB Trevor Williams
• TE Caleb Wilson
The Eagles also have a practice squad exemption for DE Matt Leo thanks to the NFL's International Pathway Program.
