Eagles Locker Room

QB Michael Vick

On his thoughts about RB LeSean McCoy: "(LeSean's) just an outstanding talent (and) a guy who can do it all on the field, and you can refer to him as an ultimate weapon because that's what he his. I think he has a chance to be one of the best at his position, ever. So I'm excited about that and I'm just happy to be playing with him."

On his thoughts about never beating the Bears in his career and whether it is because their defense does something different: "I mean, they play a nice, tight, sound, disciplined scheme, and it's something that they've always been good at. And it's a 'bend but don't break' mentality and they find ways to get it done, and in the past that's happened. So hopefully – I'm definitely confident this time I'll give ourselves the best chance to win the football game. And you know it's going to be tough but we have to put forth our best effort."

On whether it is key to start the game fast: "Obviously, you want to start fast and that's the goal each and every game when we come out, to get off to a fast start and try to control the game and dictate. So that's going to be key this game trying to make sure that we're all on one accord (and) firing on all cylinders and just doing things the right way throughout the game."

On whether the Monday night game changes their routine: "Yeah, it changes the routine (because) you get accustomed to playing on Sundays, but it is what it is. It's the NFL, it's what we do, we entertain on Monday nights and we enjoy it."

On whether the offense has too many weapons to stop if McCoy is playing at the high level he is now: "I can't necessarily say that because this game is tough. If teams come out with the right gameplan they can shut down what you're trying to do and they're professionals on that side of the ball and they're smart and they know what to do. So you just kind of have to let it all come together and predetermine what you're going to do and try to go out and just say, 'Things are going to go this way and let it just happen'."

On his thoughts about his progression in understanding different schemes: "I think after what I saw last week with everything that they did it makes me very optimistic that I can go out there and execute against any defense. Obviously, everything's going to be different but I think I have the ground rules and know what it takes to make sure that I can get us in the right protection calls and make the plays downfield when necessary."

On his mentality with the rest of his teammates and the respect they have for each other: "I think you have to have the mindset that you just have to be team-oriented. One guy doesn't know-it-all and can't win a football game by himself, it takes a collective effort. And I believe in the guys around me and we all voice our opinions and we all respect each other's opinions. And as grown men, I think that's how it should be."

DE Jason Babin

On whether this game is more important than any game yet: "Well, as the season progresses each game gets bigger and bigger and bigger because you have more at stake. I mean, frankly I love these games."

On whether the win over the Cowboys would be all for not if they don't win this game: "A win's a win in this league. We're taking it one week at a time and we're preparing for this game on Monday night and we feel like we're going to win it."

On whether he thinks the defense is getting more comfortable with each other and whether they are excited to play under defensive coordinator Juan Castillo's scheme: "I think it's obvious on film. You know, everybody's excited. If somebody makes an interception, if somebody makes a big tackle or (tackle for loss) or sack, everybody's celebrating, and everybody's just really gelling."

On his thoughts about the keys to stopping Bears RB Matt Forte: "Tackling and pursuit. I mean, he's a powerful runner and he's got some nice wiggle to him. So we really need to pursue the ball because there's going to be missed tackles, he's going to make some guys miss, but as long as we're all running and hunting we'll be there to take care of each other and have each other's backs."

WR Jason Avant

On whether he's amazed at some of the things that RB LeSean McCoy does on the field: "Oh yeah, did you see that cut when he jumped in the hole and jumped back out? That was outstanding. I saw it on film and it was pretty exciting. He messed up my block (joking) but it was pretty good (laughing)."

On his thoughts on what impresses him about McCoy: "First of all, for him to learn so fast how to play this game and his blitz protection just going to another level, and just his determination. And he just has a great knack for making people miss, just a great knack for it. And I think that's very, very undervalued in this league. The first guy never tackles him and the second guy probably has a 30 percent chance, you know…(laughing). So he's just an amazing guy when the ball's in his hands and making people miss, so I think that's the most impressive thing about him."

On whether he thinks McCoy can be seen in the MVP category among the likes of Packer QB Aaron Rodgers: "I don't really worry about that (and) I wouldn't even urge him to worry about that, as much as winning games. When you focus on the team aspects and the goals of the team, (then) that stuff comes along. So that's too much pressure on himself and too much foolishness. (And) when I say it's foolishness not to devalue your question but you can't go out, and you can play the best you played ever, and it may not be enough because it's decided on someone's vote. So he shouldn't worry about it and just focus on wins."

S Nate Allen

On whether the team has looked at tape of Forte from last years game versus the Bears: "A little bit. I mean, you can't focus on that too much, you just need to focus on what they're doing this year and a couple things from last year because they do some things the same. But we're focused on what we have on them and we're just going to put our gameplan in and try to execute."

On whether they have to adjust their safety play to Bears QB Jay Cutler because he likes to throw the ball deep: "Yeah, we just have to play within the scheme. We noticed that he likes to take his shots deep and he has a lot of weapons at the receiver position. And yeah, we just have to play our scheme and stay disciplined."

On whether he looks at the Bears throwing the ball deep a lot as an opportunity for more interceptions: "Yeah, definitely. Any time the ball's in the air there's definitely an opportunity to go get it."

On whether the defense is starting to come together: "Yeah, we are and we were coming together at camp, too, but there's things that don't go your way sometimes. Yeah, everything's coming together."

C Jason Kelce

On his thoughts about the productivity of the offense: "Oh yeah, I think that's why there's so many options on offense (because) we have so many skilled players that can do a lot of great things, like LeSean McCoy, and I could list all of the receivers but it would take too long, so yeah we can do anything out there and we're going to do anything the defense gives us for the most part and go by week-to-week."

On whether it was good for McCoy to have a big game because of all of the criticism the offensive line has taken: "I think it meant – I mean there has been a lot of criticism, but I think it meant more to us than for LeSean because we're finally coming together as an offensive line and are finally opening up big holes for him. And that's been our goal since the season started."

TE Clay Harbor

On how the tight ends will factor in against the Bears who look to eliminate deep passes: "Chicago runs a tampa two mixed with some cover three, and I think this year they have gone a little more with three-deep safeties than they have in the past. Against us in the past, they have run more tampa two to take away our big plays. With our run game the way it is now, I don't think they'll be able to do that tampa two scheme as much and they'll move the linebackers in a little bit tighter to open up the pass game. A lot of times if you get after them with the two-deep, they'll move to the three-deep look more."

On creating mismatches by having TE Brent Celek and WR Jason Avant covered by linebackers: "We feel that we can take advantage of some situations if we can get Brent or Jason set up with linebackers on them. That's an advantage for us and we feel like those guys are athletic, can run routes, and catch the ball. We feel like if they do one thing, we can capitalize in other ways."

LB Jamar Chaney

On whether the team has responded better when the linebackers are more comfortable with their roles: "Yeah, they respond to it. As long as you're out there containing yourself well, you're doing your part. As long as you lead and continue to lead after you've gotten off the field, and on game day you can lead."

On whether Monday night is a chance to for the defense to show the nation its worth: "Yeah, I think so. Every time we step on the field, we want to showcase our talent. We work all through the week just to go out there and have a good game on Monday, so it's always our goal no matter what the situation is. We consider every game a must-win, and we want to go out and have a great game on defense. That's why we come out here even on the days that we have off. You see all the guys on the defense out here trying to get better, even laying in our beds and watching film so that on Monday we are ready to go."

On how being middle linebacker suits him: "I like the middle. That's the one I like the most out of all three of them. On most teams, the MIKE is the signal caller and leader on defense. A lot of stuff gets put on the MIKE, and I like when that is put on me."

On whether he feels he is a leader that makes the other linebackers accountable: "You have to hold your own. When you go out on that field, you have to make sure you can hold up your part and make sure that you know what you're doing. You don't see too many guys not giving the effort but sometimes there are guys who might not know what they're doing or the situations or something like that. You want to make sure that you know the situation, the down-and-distance, the little keys that will help you out in game time situations."
