Eagles Locker Room

QB Vince Young

On how he feels that he's progressed this week: "Overall, I feel okay. I feel like we had a good week of practice. The guys were in tune and bringing a lot of confidence. I really feel like with the behind the scenes working and studying, we have gotten down a lot of the plays and getting things going."

On how tough it is to get ready to start when he is usually the backup: "It's somewhat tough. It can be tough if you're not paying attention and you're not focused. If you're focused, paying attention, and staying intact, one thing about (head coach) Andy (Reid) is he won't let you not be paying attention. He's always going to be asking you questions. That's the good thing about this team and this offense with (offensive coordinator) Marty (Mornhinweg) and (quarterbacks coach) Doug (Pederson), they're always testing you so that's a good thing about that."

On being a veteran and capable backup on the team in case QB Michael Vick ever went down: "Like I said, this is not about me. It's all about going out there and playing the game and always staying ready. One of the reasons that they did bring me in is to always stay ready and lead the guys and keep the same tempo that Mike Vick has. Overall, I feel pretty good but it's not about me. It's about going out and helping lead these guys to victory."

On whether he has done any extra work: "Nothing has changed. We do this every week even if we are not starting. Myself and (QB) Mike Kafka always do extra film and extra studying. It's something we have to do and something we want to do, so nothing has changed this week."

On whether he feels like he has something to prove: "It's not about me at all. It's about this team. I want to go out and lead these guys to victory. That's the biggest thing. I want to avoid mental errors and be the quarterback."

On how well he has grasped the schemes and the offense: "I feel pretty good. I feel like the guys have done pretty well. Guys have been really studying and our receivers were in with us watching film this week. All these types of things are going to help the guys get going, and the biggest thing if we don't have (WR) Jeremy Maclin is that (WR) Riley (Cooper) will have his chance to step in and make some plays as well. I really feel like practice has been pretty good and the tempo has been pretty good. (WR) DeSean Jackson has been doing a good job and are taking care of their responsibilities."

On whether he feels more confident going into the game having RB LeSean McCoy in the backfield: "I feel confidence with the o-line, (TE) Brent Celek out there running, definitely DeSean Jackson, the running backs with Ronnie Brown and Dion Lewis. We have a lot of talented guys, and getting those guys out of the huddle is the biggest thing. It's about getting guys in the right places and let them use their talent and what we brought them in for. We have a lot of guys who can make a lot of plays for us."

CB Nnamdi Asomugha

On facing the Giants again after the secondary has been able to work together more: "Yeah, we were working through some stuff because it was early in the season. We actually thought that we played well when we looked at the film. I think there were maybe two or three plays that we could have had back in the game. We played pretty well. Then, from there to now, everyone is much more comfortable with what we're doing. Everybody is pretty confident going into the game."

On the challenges facing Giants WR Victor Cruz: "He is a good receiver so it's the basic challenges that you'd have going against any receiver in the league."

On whether frustration or anger has been building since the loss against Arizona: "I don't know. That point was reached when we had our four game losing streak and then when we lost against Chicago. At this point, you just have to go out and win. The getting mad and all that type of stuff, if you were going to get mad then you should've gotten mad then. We have to go out and find a way to win."

On fixing the struggles the defense has had in the fourth quarter: "Just play harder. There have been a couple plays that got us in the fourth quarter, and that hurt us. Those plays could happen in the first or in the second, but they've been coming in the fourth. It's not something that any of us feed into or believe that we're a worse team in the fourth quarter. We're still confident with what we do, we just have to make those plays that come to us in the fourth."

WR DeSean Jackson

On whether it will be different having QB Vince Young out there instead of QB Michael Vick and whether it will take time to adjust: "I mean, we've been practicing with him throughout the whole year and he's caught on to the offense in a pretty good way. So we're just trying to keep it simple for him and not put too much pressure on him. But he's a good quarterback, and with the game he played against the Giants last year he was able to beat them. So we just really want him to go out there and give us a chance to win."

On whether he needs a big game for his confidence: "I'm just going out there and play. I just want to put everything else behind myself and move forward to help my teammates and just the organization clean up all of the mess that we've went through and things throughout the beginning of the season. So I think the second half of the season is when we take care of our business and do what we need to do out there. I think myself, additionally, will come back this week and help out. You know, I think it's possible. We know this team pretty good, they beat us earlier in the year, but the rest of the team we feel comfortable that we're going to go out there and play our part."

On his thoughts about playing in New York following the "Miracle in the Meadowlands": "That's one of my favorite places to play, honestly, besides Dallas. But I mean, New York is a very hostile place, their crowd and their fans get pumped up. So it's just an opportunity we're looking forward to go out there and just do what we do."

On his thoughts about being 4-0 in New York against the Giants since he's been with the team: "Hey man, that's a good record to hear. But like I said, we just feel comfortable out there, confident with the group we have here to go out there in New York with all of the odds against us and 'back against the wall' mentality. So that's the same way we're going to carry into it."

On whether he thinks he will be more of the focus on offense with WR Jeremy Maclin injured: "I mean, I'm just going to play my part. I can't really answer that for you but I'm going to do what I need to do, play my part, and be in the position I need to be in every time."

On whether he feels that he personally has something to prove in this game: "Not necessarily, man. I feel everybody kind of already knows what to expect from me every time I go on the field. So this year has been a little more difficult than in the previous years but I'm just going to go out there and just do what I need to do. And hopefully we can make some big plays and get over top of their defense and win that game. So really as far as myself feeling like I need to prove anything, I've been playing this game my whole life so I just want to go out there and just continue to do what I need to do to help this team win games."

WR Riley Cooper

On how much he is looking forward to increased playing time: "I'm looking forward to it and I'm ready to go. I have been taking all of the one reps this week and I'm looking good and feeling good. Everyone's time comes like they said, so this is mine."

On how tough it is to step in and play: "It always helps when you're in there getting the game reps every single game. Obviously I'm not doing that, but I'm in there whenever we go to four wide. Every game play helps you build as a player so I'm looking forward to this week."

On whether QB Vince Young has worked well in the offense in place of QB Michael Vick: "Luckily, me and Vince have a lot of chemistry. I was going with the twos and ones back in camp. We have good chemistry and everyone knows that he's a heck of a player. We just have to tie it together and put it all together."

On how QB Vince Young has looked in practice all week: "He's looked great. He looks more confident and he has some swagger and confidence about him."
