QB Michael Vick
On whether he feels that they shouldn't be packing their bags so early: "Yeah, I mean it is what it is. I think it's going to motivate us to work harder going into this year. We're all very excited for that and we're just going to have to wait and see."
On how disappointing the end to the season is: "It's very disappointing. We gelled at the end and got on the same page on offense and got in synch in all the other phases of the game, so it's tough. We have our morale right now, and we'll just carry it over into our offseason workouts and our OTAs and get better as a unit and use that time to get better. I'm excited about where we're at, we just need to make sure that we keep our eyes on the prize and that's what we work toward."
On putting together 16 games in a season: "I think it would be unbelievable. That has to be the goal. You have to be available for 16 games for this team and I have to hold myself accountable and have to get away from trying to do too much. Not waking up sore on Monday mornings doesn't mean that you didn't give it your all. I think it means you played smart. I went into the game yesterday of playing with that mindset of how I wanted to play in this upcoming season: protecting the ball, playing smart, not taking unnecessary hits, and playing for my teammates. That means more to me now than anything."
On whether this is the closest he's come in his career to being a complete quarterback: "Absolutely, and I think I made great strides this year and I'm excited for where I'm at. I'm excited about having the opportunity this offseason to get inside the game. With the learning curve that I've had the past few seasons, and to now have a full offseason under my belt, I'm excited. I'm going to take a week or two off and get away from it, but my offseason is going to start early and I think that's the way it should be."
On why he has vocalized that next year will definitely be different: "I said that last night after my press conference. You have to take chances in life and you take a gamble, and I wouldn't say anything that I didn't mean. Like I said, I can hold the weight of my promise, but if I don't, I'm going to give everything I have trying. Every guy in here can back me up on that, and I'm well protected and I feel good about it when I said it."
On the one thing or game that made the difference in not making the playoffs: "I think there were a lot of games that made the difference. I think if we scored more points than our opposition in one or two more games, then we may have made the playoffs. I think the feeling we have now is that it's tough but it's going to be one heck of a learning experience now and it's going to help more than it's going to hurt.
WR Jeremy Maclin
On what he will work on in the offseason: "I'm just looking to stay healthy. I had a rough one last offseason, and I'm going to take some time off and get away from football. I'm just trying to get my body right and hopefully stay healthy."
On what head coach Andy Reid told the team before they break for the offseason: "Just to stay together as a team, and that's the important thing. All the really good things do that and they're close knit. Take this four game win streak into the offseason and take it as a positive thing."
On how QB Michael Vick could benefit from having a full offseason program as a starter: "I think it'd be big. He's already a tremendous talent and he knows the offense very well, but getting the full offseason knowing he's the guy coming in, looking at film with the coaches like that, I think it will be key. I think it'll definitely elevate his game to next level, even though there isn't much further that he can go. I think it can definitely help him."
On how much his health and situation in the preseason helped him appreciate playing football and living life: "You hit it right on the knob. Not only does it make you appreciate the game of football but it makes you appreciate just life in general. It's crazy how anything that you work for and anything you put a lot of effort into can be taken away from you in the drop of a dime. You definitely have to cherish every moment of what you do and cherish every moment of life, too."
WR Jason Avant
On where this season ranks in terms of disappointment: "It's one of the most disappointing. I think it's disappointing because of lack of execution, they way you lose games. It's different when you go out against a team that's better than you. And it's even harder to swallow when you go out and do a lot of things to shoot yourself in the foot. So it's disappointing but we were excited about the way that we finished out the season and not giving up and still having a chance, we needed some things to work out for us and it didn't happen. When you look back over it and the division winner is 9-7 and you look at the beginning of the season, you think like 9-7 with the schedule that we played it would be easy, but when you do the wrong things it always bites you in the end."
On whether it feels like he shouldn't be packing up already: "Actually, it does because when you play the way we played early it will get you out of here. I think it's a humbling experience that it gets you to a point that you should come in hungry next year. So do I want to be packing up? No. Do I know that we deserve to because of the way I played? Yes."
RB Dion Lewis
On whether it felt good to see action at running back: "Definitely, just have to keep working hard and learn as much as I can this offseason that I can use to my advantage. And come camp I'll be ready and doing everything full speed."
On whether he asks for advice from RB LeSean McCoy: "A lot. I ask him a question every day and him and (RB) Ronnie (Brown) have been a great help for me this year. To have two guys like that, you have great players who have been in the league for a few years. So having guys like that to be able to look up to and ask questions has been a big help for me."
On what he's learned from McCoy: "Just staying patient, staying hungry and staying focused, that's a big thing."
On his thoughts about getting 12 carries yesterday: "Definitely, when you have an opportunity you have to make the most of it. And every time I get an opportunity I try to make the most of it and yesterday I had an opportunity. It felt good to get out there and play a little bit."
On his thoughts about having trouble establishing the run game in the first half: "They did a good job in the first half stopping the run against us. And you can't stop it the whole game so just kept staying patient and not try to force things or not try too hard and just stay with my reads and good things happened."
