The Eagles already knew that they would be without starting right guard Cam Jurgens when they released their final injury report on Friday.
Now, the team won't have Jurgens for the month of October as the second-year lineman was placed on Injured Reserve on Saturday. Jurgens will miss at least the next four games. He'll be eligible to return for the Week 9 (November 5) game against Dallas.
The team's second-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft was a first-year starter at the right guard spot. His performance in 28 snaps against Washington on Sunday prior to leaving due to the injury was his highest graded of the season, according to Pro Football Focus.
Sua Opeta replaced Jurgens last Sunday and is slated to start at right guard against the Rams.
