The Eagles have agreed to terms with quarterback Will Grier on a one-year contract.

Grier (6-1, 220 pounds), a former third-round pick of the Carolina Panthers, has spent time on five teams since entering the league in 2019. Primarily serving as a backup, Grier's only playing time came during his rookie season in Carolina when he started the final two games of the year.

The 28-year-old is reunited with Offensive Coordinator Kellen Moore for the third time in his five-year career. Grier and Moore were together in Dallas for two seasons (2021-22) when the latter served as the Cowboys' offensive coordinator. This past December, the Los Angeles Chargers claimed Grier off the New England Patriots' practice squad. Moore, who ran the Chargers' offense in 2023, once again had a familiar face on the roster. Grier also worked with new Quarterbacks Coach Doug Nussmeier during their stints with the Cowboys and Chargers. Before joining the Patriots and Chargers last season, Grier had a brief stint with the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Davidson, North Carolina native was a standout in college, playing one season at the University of Florida and two seasons at West Virginia University. Across three seasons (2015, 2017-18), Grier threw for 8,556 yards and 81 touchdowns while rushing for 148 yards and seven scores. Grier finished fourth in the 2018 Heisman Trophy voting.

Grier will join a quarterback room that includes Jalen Hurts, Tanner McKee, and the newly acquired Kenny Pickett.

After signing their contracts or extensions, Eagles players showed their personality in front of the camera during an exclusive photoshoot at the NovaCare Complex.
