Final Mock Draft Tracker

Well, it's finally D-, as in draft, Day and we've taken stock of the mock drafts across the NFL landscape and rounded them into one spot as the countdown to the 2010 NFL draft gets smaller and smaller. There are a lot of rumors about the Eagles packaging some of their 10 draft picks to move up in the first round, possibly targeting safety Earl Thomas or defensive end Derrick Morgan. However, there could also be a lot of value to be had by staying at 24, as some talented players are likely to slip.

NFL.com (Pat Kirwin) Maurkice Pouncey, C (Florida) April 19
Comment: Andy Reid has never hesitated to take linemen in the first round, and Pouncey gives him a guard-center type who could be blocking for Kevin Kolb for his whole career.
NFL.com (Steve Wyche) Taylor Mays, S (USC) April 20
Comment: This big hitter and freakish athlete is needed to control the mid-field passing game; an intimidator who could bring edge to the D.
NFL.com (Charles Davis) Earl Thomas, S (Texas) April 21
Comment: Trying to replace Brian Dawkins is not easy. This Longhorn is a terrific attempt, provided he lasts this long.
ESPN (Todd McShay) Earl Thomas, S (Texas) April 22
Comment: Again, we like the Eagles to go after Thomas and use some of their many picks to get him. It might happen much higher than No. 24, but in essence they would be using this pick combined with others to bring him into the fold.
ESPN (Mel Kiper) Kyle Wilson, CB (Boise State) April 22
Comment: Wilson is a technician at the cornerback position and should be a great help for Andy Reid in the defensive backfield, which we know is an area of need. There's a thought that Philly could pull the trigger on (or even trade up for) a safety, but Wilson is an exceptional value here. Another very safe pick.
Sports Illustrated (Peter King) Derrick Morgan, DE (Ga.Tech) April 21
Projected trade up to No. 12* Comment:* Eagles lost out on two free-agent gems -- Julius Peppers and Aaron Kampman -- and need a defensive end.
Sports Illustrated (Don Banks) Earl Thomas, S (Texas) April 22
Projected trade up to No. 12

I think Philadelphia is the team most motivated to move up in the draft, because they've got the extra picks and the desire to land one of the top two safeties, either Berry or Thomas.</td>
