The Eagles came out on top in one of the most entertaining games of the season.
Jalen Hurts scored five total touchdowns, a new career high, including the overtime-winner as Philadelphia came back to beat Buffalo 37-34.
"Our guys know how to win," said Eagles Head Coach Nick Sirianni. "You can win at all these different places, but when you do it together and find ways to win together, nobody flinches. That is what it was."
Find out how the game transpired:
First Quarter
- DEFENSE! James Bradberry knocked Josh Allen's third-down pass away from wide receiver Gabe Davis, forcing the Bills to punt from midfield after two false start penalties pushed them out of field goal range.
- TOUCHDOWN! Jalen Hurts scored on the Brotherly Shove! A 23-yard rush by Kenneth Gainwell and a penalty on Buffalo set up the score. Three penalties on the visitors, and one on the punt return, gave the Eagles good field position as they marched down the field. A 14-yard catch by DeVonta Smith and 16-yard run by Hurts also aided to the successful 10-play, 5:31 drive. Jake Elliott made the extra point. (Eagles 7 - Bills 0)
Second Quarter
- The Bills got on the board just under four minutes into the second quarter. Tyler Bass' 48-yard field goal went right through the uprights. A big stop by Eagles safety Kevin Byard on third-and-10 forced the Bills to settle for three points. (Eagles 7 - Bills 3)
- Hurts had his pass intercepted by Terrel Bernard after it was tipped at the line of scrimmage by Leonard Floyd. The Bills got the ball back just outside the red zone.
- It took the Bills just four plays to make the Eagles pay. Allen ran right up the gut on first-and-goal from the 9-yard line to give his team the three-point lead. (Bills 10 - Eagles 7)
- BLOCKED FIELD GOAL! Jalen Carter used his left hand to redirect Bass' 34-yard field goal.
- Just a few plays later, Hurts fumbled the ball on a botched handoff. The ball never made it into the hands of Gainwell, who was hit by the blitzing Jordan Poyer. Edge rusher Greg Rousseau was there to collect the loose ball.
- The Bills once again made the Eagles pay for a turnover. Allen found Stefon Diggs for an improbable touchdown at the goal line. The Bills ended the half with 14 points off of turnovers. (Bills 17 - Eagles 7)
The Buffalo Bills are in South Philadelphia to take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, November 26 at Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles are celebrating the past by wearing their Kelly Green throwback jerseys and hope to improve upon their league-best 9-1 record. The Bills, meanwhile, have been a staple of the AFC playoff picture in recent seasons, but currently sit on the outside looking in.
Third Quarter
- After having a field goal blocked in the second quarter, Bass missed his first attempt of the second half, slicing it wide right.
- TOUCHDOWN! Hurts found A.J. Brown in the back of the end zone for a wide-open, 3-yard score! D'Andre Swift led the drive with 45 rushing yards, including a 36-yard run to kick things off. Tight end Jack Stoll made his presence known, setting his team up at the Buffalo four-yard line with a 14-yard catch. (Bills 17 - Eagles 14)
- The Bills answered right back with another Allen rushing touchdown. He weaved his way through the defense on third-and-11 for a 16-yard touchdown. This was the 14th touchdown the Eagles had allowed on third-and-7+ this season, that ranks second most in the NFL. (Bills 24 - Eagles 14)
Fourth Quarter
- TOUCHDOWN! What a start to the quarter! Hurts found Smith over the middle for a 15-yard touchdown! Smith had 48 receiving yards on the drive, leading the charge for the offense. (Bills 24 - Eagles 21)
- INTERCEPTION! James Bradberry was on the scene to intercept Allen's pass on second down. The veteran corner jumped the route on a pass intended for Diggs. The Eagles took over at the Buffalo 24-yard line.
- TOUCHDOWN! WOW, what a play! Hurts extended the play on third-and-15 to find Olamide Zaccheaus in the back corner of the end zone. The veteran wide receiver high-pointed the football and came down with an amazing catch. Just like the Bills did earlier to the Eagles, Philadelphia capitalized on a turnover. (Eagles 28 - Bills 24)
- SACK! On the day when he set the record for most regular-season games played in franchise history, Brandon Graham took down Allen for a loss of seven yards on third down.
- With 1:52 left in the game, Allen found Davis for a 7-yard touchdown. The slant route worked to perfection for the Bills as they regained the lead. (Bills 31 - Eagles 28)
- FIELD GOAL! The legend of Jake Elliott grows! He nailed a game-tying, 59-yard field goal with 20 seconds left in the game. The Bills kneeled out the clock to take this game to overtime. (Bills 31 - Eagles 31)
Overtime
- Bass made no mistake with his 40-yard field goal in overtime to give the Bills the lead. An incomplete pass on third-and-7 forced the Bills to settle for the kick. (Bills 34 - Eagles 31)
- TOUCHDOWN! QB1! Hurts ran it in from 12 yards out to win it in overtime. A nine-play, 75-yard drive ended with the roof being lifted off Lincoln Financial Field. Hurts rushed for 27 yards and threw for 48 yards to cap off an amazing game-winning drive. (Eagles 37 - Bills 34)
