Game Vs. Bears: Eagles Offense

C Jason Kelce

On the Bears mixing up the coverage during the game: "Yeah, they did a good job of keeping us on our toes I think. It was a good battle out there."

On what happened during the opening drive of the second half that got the offense going: "It's hard for me to tell you that. I think the coaches saw some things at halftime that they wanted to exploit in the second half. We came out with some success."

On blocking for RB LeSean McCoy and the way the Bears swarmed to the football: "Good linebackers flow to the ball. Like I said, I think they did a good job of stunting their D-Line. Physically, I think we did a good job against their D-Line, but I think sometimes when they slanted and stuff like that, it's a little tougher to get a block if they go into the play, you know. If they do it away from the play, it's a big play, and I think that's what you saw on some of the big plays Shady had."

WR DeSean Jackson

On if he feels it's frustrating that the Bears have been able to take away the deep ball from the Eagles over the past few years: "It's a part of the game. At times we go out there we're able to go out there and get some big plays down the field, but obviously a lot of teams are on to that. I guess they try to do everything in their power to not let us run on the field and not make those big plays that we have made over the years. I have to find t a way to make it happen and get through it."

On why he feels the team has had trouble finishing games: "Honesty, I don't know. I think in our powers and in our mind, we want to go out there and succeed and do everything the correct way, but at the end of the day it's human nature. Sometimes things don't always go the way we plan or the way we practice, so sometimes when we get to the game you may have a different look or a different play.  We just try to keep plugging away and doing what we need to do."

RB LeSean McCoy

On whether this game stings a little more, knowing the team was right there with Chicago all game: "Yeah, definitely. Being right there and having a chance to win at the end no matter how bad we played, but to have a chance to win a game is tough. Because with our offense, there are so many good players we take it personal and on our shoulders when we don't score. It's got to get better."

On if he is shocked where the Eagles are in terms of their record and their standing in the NFC: "Yeah, definitely. Each loss, we kind of had the game under control for the most part, but found a way to lose it."
"It's something we have to work with. We put ourselves in that situation and in this hole. Each game is critical to us and we just need to approach them like that. For us to lose games like that at home in a tight game, with the offense that we have, you have to find a way to pull it out."

On if he feels the Eagles can catch the New York Giants: "The mind-frame is that we always can catch them [NY Giants]. Everyone is still going to be positive; we just have to do it. It's tough games like this that we have to capitalize and finish out—that's the biggest key if we're going to catch them. They're rolling right now and we can't focus on them, we have to just try to play our game and get our wins and finish our games out."

WR Jeremy Maclin

On whether there is still an opportunity for this team: "Yeah, there's still an opportunity, man. There definitely is. We just have to take care of business week in and week out. We have a small room for error now, so we have to go out there and take care of business."

On why he thought it was not a crisp game from the offense tonight: "We didn't execute very well. I think we had too many negative plays. That's not pointing the fingers at anyone. I just think a negative play is a drop, or a negative play is just something like that. I just think we had too many plays that we did not make."

On whether he slipped on the final play: "Yeah, I extended for the catch and it's one of those things that just happens sometimes. You have to make the catch first and foremost, and when I came down I kind of just lost my footing a little bit."

On whether bad habits are the cause for another fourth quarter lead to slip away: "No, we don't dwell on the past. We have to look forward and keep moving and go back to the drawing board and get a [win] this coming week."
