Game Vs. Cowboys: Head Coach Andy Reid

On injuries sustained in the game: "[LB] Akeem Jordan's [concussion] really was the only one. [RB] Dion [Lewis] was in an auto accident on the way to the stadium this afternoon, and he has a little bit of a wrist injury. He was kind of shaken up, so I held him out."

On the win: "It's always good to win in the National Football League. [Dallas head coach] Jason Garrett has a good football team, and they're doing some very good things there. I was proud of our guys for the way they came out. I thought that offensively, defensively and on special teams, we were solid and played good football. There were a number of individuals who had big numbers. When [RB] LeSean [McCoy] has a career day, and [QB] Michael [Vick] has a big day, and our receivers have big days, the offensive line needs to be complimented along with the defensive line for the pressure they were able to put on [Dallas quarterback] Tony [Romo]. Our secondary constantly challenged their receivers. [Dallas] has real good receivers and a great tight end. I was proud of the coordinators for the job that they did. I thought [special teams coordinator] Bobby [April] had a nice plan with the special teams. He did a nice job, and it was nice to get our young kicker [Alex Henery] a field goal or two there. I'd rather have touchdowns, but it was good that he had a couple of opportunities. I'd just like to thank the club for the great job that they did honoring [the late defensive coordinator] Jim Johnson and [former all-pro cornerback] Eric Allen in the halftime ceremony tonight."

On whether tonight's performance was what he envisioned when the team was assembled:"I'm not much on imagining things. The important thing is that you continue to improve each week. We have plenty of room still to improve, and we have to make sure we do that. We can enjoy this one, but we have to get on with [preparing for] the Bears. They'll be coming in here on Monday night, and they have a good football team."

On the use of screen passes as opposed to deep passing routes:"We did have some screens, and we were able to run some deep intermediate routes. They are routes that aren't quite intermediate and aren't quite deep, but you're still able to get off a 15-yard throw. We thought that was a good area to work on."

On the Eagles having success in the running game against a highly-ranked Dallas defense against the run:"I thought our offensive line did a good job. I thought out tight ends blocked great today. I thought [TE] Clay [Harbor] did a heck of a job along with [TE] Brent [Celek]."

On the performance of RB LeSean McCoy: "Right now, he's playing as well as any running back there is. That is a compliment to him and the guys blocking around him. The receivers had a couple of nice downfield blocks as well, so it was kind of a joint effort. LeSean is tough to bring down one-on-one. He has tremendous quickness and lateral mobility."

On whether TE Brent Celek's emergence in the passing game is due to a reduced blocking role:"He blocked on every play. We didn't have any plays where he wasn't in there blocking. I thought he had some nice catches. We tried to utilize him a little bit more, and I don't think we were doing that enough early. He's a good receiver and we have to continue to do that."

On the different ways that CB Nnamdi Asomugha was used in the game: "We had him inside in the nickel game. I think you're seeing around the league that every team is kind of a work in progress as we go through the season. That's the way our offense is, and that's the way our defense is. We have new players and coaches that are getting used to new things every week, and we're adding new things and continuing to build. It's important that we do that."

On TE Clay Harbor's improvement as a blocker:"Last year he did pretty good as a blocker too. He has just continued to get better at it. I think it's just a matter of doing it and being willing to stick your nose in there. He is willing, and he's a big, strong kid."

On whether Harbor returned from the offseason bigger and stronger: "He had a good offseason – not that he's gotten much stronger or bigger. I believe he's stronger, but I don't think he's much bigger."

On the Eagles ability to sustain long offensive scoring drives: "I thought [QB] Michael [Vick] was sharp on his decision-making and I don't think there were a lot of deflected balls or fumbles. Turnovers are the things that kill you, and we were able to do a better job there. A lot of that stems from protection. I thought the guys did well, because that's a really good [Dallas] defensive front there."

On the development of Juan Castillo as a defensive coordinator: "He's a relentless worker, and he's got great feel for the sport and the game of football. It's a tribute to him and the fact that the guys are rallying around him. The coaches around him have done a nice job of teaching the players, and the players have responded to him from day one. That's a tribute to Juan as a person and as a football coach."

On whether the offense now has a different mindset due to the emergence of RB LeSean McCoy: "We're not going to force anything. If the running game is not working, and the pass game is, then we are going to throw the football. If both of them are working, that's a beautiful thing. If the pass game isn't working and the running game is, then you run the football. LeSean's ability gives us the flexibility to work it that way."

On the impact of the bye week and the extra time to prepare for Dallas: "We gave the players the whole week off. We didn't practice, and as a player, [the bye] really hit at midseason if you add in the preseason games. We have been hitting it pretty hard for 10 weeks, so I can't sit here and tell you that a week off doesn't make you feel a little bit better and recharge the battery. As far as the coaches go, the coaches worked three days and took the rest of the time off. Strategically, we want to think that we do a pretty good job even on short weeks. I think it did help. We did mostly self-scouting during that time."

On whether he benefited personally from the bye week: "Yes, because I didn't have to answer all of [the media's] crazy questions [joking]. Listen again, I feel great."

On the reason why the Eagles have posted a 13-0 record after the bye during his tenure:"I have no idea. Seriously, I have no idea."

On whether the offensive line is starting to settle in: "We kind of have the guys back that we planned on having in there. I thought they did a nice job. Like I said, I have a ton of respect for the Dallas defensive front. I'm proud of my guys for the way they played."

On how rookie G Danny Watkins is coping with the mental aspects of the NFL game: "He's a smart kid. When you talk about the Wunderlich test, he's way up there. When you talk academically at Baylor, he's way up there. He's a sharp kid and he's picking stuff up. It's just a matter of playing. Even though his age is 26, playing experience is what counts, and he's young in that area. He's getting better every week and he's willing to improve. [Offensive line coach] Howard [Mudd] has done a good job with him. I mentioned the coordinators, but I also should mention the assistant coaches. Those are the worker bees who just get in there and grind with the players. All around they did a nice job."

On whether he was concerned that it would take time for all of the roster and coaching changes to gel following the NFL lockout:"You just keep teaching, that's what you do. The players have been very willing to work, and that's all you can ask for as a head coach. It's important that coaches work hard, players work hard, you have the right attitude, and you try to correct your mistakes. Hopefully it turns around and good things happen. We'll continue to do that. We have plenty of room to improve. We have to keep that same mentality, keep pounding, working hard in practice, doing the small things, getting better at the things you're not good at, and continuing to get better at the things you are good at."

On whether LB Jamar Chaney is starting to settle in at the middle linebacker position: "We saw that in the second half of the Buffalo game. He made that interception and some of the things he were doing in there leadership-wise were important. I can almost use that interception as the point at which his game changed and he felt more comfortable in there. He's playing well."

On whether the players will know that they still have work to do after such a convincing victory:"There's a pretty good chance that I'll remind them of that. They know that, and they know that the Bears are a pretty good football team. We don't have a winning record right now. We have to keep playing and doing well."
