Game Vs. Cowboys: QB Michael Vick

On the importance of getting the lead in the first half: "First off, I want to thank God for giving me another opportunity to go out and play the game that I love. I give the offensive line credit for allowing us to go out and get onto that lead that we were able to get onto. We just started fast. That was our mindset. We wanted to come out and set the tone, set the tempo. For the fourth week in a row, we got the ball first and it was about time that we scored on the opening drive."

On the focus on precision in this game: "We always try to be as precise as we can be. That's the name of the game to be better than the opposition and take advantage of what they give you. You just have to make it simple, simplify this game, which is hard to do. Sometimes it does happen that way and you're able to make plays that you know you can make, the way they're scripted and I'm just thankful that we were able to get the win today"

On whether RB LeSean McCoy makes things simpler for him: "He makes it a lot easier. My job is a totally different instinct than what he has to do. Just handing the ball off to him and the things that he does, he does them very well. He's able to create space and make guys miss and it definitely makes our job as an offense easier."

On whether this game felt like the first half of the game vs. the Washington Redskins on November 15, 2010: "Not really. We just wanted to keep pressing and keep pushing. It's important that we continue to make strides on each and every drive and try to be the best that we can be and keep putting points up.  There's no time to try to reflect on what's happened in the past. We just want to keep going. "

On his reaction to the comments made by Dallas Defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan that the Eagles are an "all-hype team:" "Coach Ryan was probably just open talking. We were able to go out and get a lead. In the back of our minds, we knew what had been said. At the end of the day, the players have to get out on the field and play and the coaches can't get out there so we disregarded that. It really was a non-issue."

On whether today's game reflects what this offense ought to be: "It's easy to say that. I think in the games that we lost, the offense looked pretty much the way we did tonight. Turnovers are things that happen. It's inevitable. You can't control them sometimes. They're going to happen. We catch good breaks, we catch bad breaks. We just have to keep rolling with the punches and I think that as an offense, we've shown that we're capable of getting it done week in and week out. You see what happens when you don't turn the ball over. We all know what happens."

On all of the intermediate passes completed during the game: "Did you see how deep the safeties were playing? It was 500 yards back. Can't throw a bomb against that.  So you have to pick and choose your spots. Intermediate routes, try to get them to come up and try to put pressure on them to get what you want.  Sometimes it's tough.  Each week you're not going to see the bomb.  It all depends on what you get."

On whether it's part of his development as a quarterback to not always go for the knockout punch and instead take what the defense gives: "Yeah, I think it's part of the growth and maturity and just being patient and understanding that things are not going to happen all the time.  I had a big problem with that in the beginning of my career. I still fight with it sometimes and I'm pretty sure a lot of quarterbacks do.  It's not only me.  You want to take the shots all the time, but you have to be disciplined and sometimes you have to be conservative depending on what's happening in the game."

On the mood in the locker room at the end of the game: "We still have a lot of work to do.  This is a win to be proud about and there should be jubilation throughout the locker room.  We acknowledge the fact that we work hard each and every week and so we deserve to take a moment to reflect and enjoy this but at the same time understand our position.  We've got game two next week. The start of our new season."

On what McCoy has shown the past two games: "I think Shady has shown us pretty much everything that he's shown us for that last two years - that he's a dynamic player and he's by far one of the best in this league.  You have to give a lot of credit to the offensive line, I mean those guys did great in the run game, great in the protection game.  They're starting to gel and play with confidence and believe in one another.  It's one thing I always tell them – believe in yourself and believe in one another and I think they do us well.  Sorry if I got sidetracked in answering your question.  I know you asked about LeSean, but you have to give those guys kudos too."

On whether his first touchdown pass to WR Jeremy Maclin was a designed play or if he checked it down: "Oh yeah, I checked that play.  They brought the blitz.  I thought we had a pretty good play on, but I just didn't like it and I wanted to get out of it and was able to check it at the very last minute.  It was great communication and I give a lot of credit to the guys for putting themselves in a position to score and make the play."

On what he saw in the defense in preparing for the game: "We watched them on film dominate a lot of teams and we just knew it was going to be a tough game.  So we just prepared ourselves to come out and just fight the fight with them.  Each and every down counted and we wanted to make it count.  So we just wanted to come out and not turn the ball over and give ourselves a chance to compete. And we did that."

On his new responsibility of calling plays at the line: "It was tough in the beginning.  Everything that I went through over the last two months, as far as protections and checks and things that I've been asked to do.  It was tough in the beginning.  It wasn't easy.  You know you just have to watch a lot of film and tune your mind to understanding what your coaches want you to understand. You almost have to think like they think.  It's been a process, but it's been fun and I've been enjoying it.  I enjoy playing the quarterback position even more now than I did in the past."
