On the regular season: "I think we're ready. I think Akeem Jordan is especially ready. He's had a great preseason and we are looking for big things out of him this year. I'm really looking forward to playing along side of him."

On having a starting position: "I hope so. I guess that's what the plan is now. Going through the week it sure seems like it's going to be that way, but the coaches are still making decisions. Obviously, I want to be out there with those guys."

On the lack of cohesiveness: "I don't think we've had a lack of cohesion. That's what training camp is for. You make your mistakes now so you don't make them during the season. I think we have a lot of guys coming back on this defense that have played together. It's not like these guys haven't played together before."

On Michael Vick's reinstatement:"I think it's great. I think we thought it would happen. He couldn't carry himself any better. I'm looking forward to what he can do during the regular season. He's that much of an exciting player where you want to watch him any time he does something. You can see that he is going to be ready to go."

On the Eagles being ready: "Yeah, I think so. The bottom line is we don't have a choice. That first game is coming up quick. We're going down to face a good Carolina team in a hostile environment. I am looking forward to it though."
