On whether he would have wanted to run the ball last week like they did this week: "We went into the game plan this week with the game plan we had and I felt like we moved the ball well early in the game. We came away with a couple of field goals, couple of miscues that we need to put the ball in the endzone at that time. That would really help us out but we were effective at moving the ball."
On whether he felt that he got better this game since last game: "I felt like I improved on certain things. Still a lot to improve on. I made some miscues and there were some little things. I'm pretty hard on myself so we didn't get the win and we need to get more points. But I felt like I improved and I'll continue to improve. There's a lot to learn from this one as well. As in any game plan, there's always a lot to learn from so I just have to take what I learned from it and become a better player and help make the guys around me better players."
On whether it was the game plan or the pressure that led to his longest completion being for only 16 yards: "That's just how it went this game. You're going to have games like that. I had a game in high school that I didn't throw a pass in the second half. Then I threw 50 the next game. Sometimes that's just how games go. We were running the ball really effectively and we were able to get them sucked down to the box and we were able to get some 15, 16 yard throws across the middle. So, we moved the ball effectively. Guys up front did a great job blocking all night, opened up some seams for (RB) Bryce (Brown). (RB) Dion (Lewis) did a great job with the ball so I was proud of the guys."
On his understanding of what will happen when Vick is healthy: "I'm just thinking about the game right now. I don't know. Mike is the quarterback. That's all I know is Mike's our quarterback. He's our leader and I stepped in when he got injured to fill in, help the team and it has been my job to be the starting quarterback the last two weeks and Mike's the quarterback of this team. He's been the quarterback. I love Mike to death and hopefully he's healthy but my job is to be ready at any time and to continue to play. I love playing the game. It was great being out there playing in front of our crowd. It's just tough not getting a win. It's always tough losing but tomorrow is another day, like I said before and I'll continue to work. We'll continue to work and get better."
On whether or not the game plan changes when WR DeSean Jackson is out: "We changed it a little bit but we had guys who stepped up. DeSean's quite a whip and with him out, guys had to step up and we had guys come in and do a good job. That's just part of the game."
On why there was more of a run game this week with RB LeSean McCoy out: "That's just what we felt like when the game started, just how they were playing us. I thought we ran the ball effectively. Marty (Mornhinweg) is a great offensive coordinator so he saw what their weaknesses were and exploited them. We just have to put the ball in the endzone more. I'm the quarterback. I have to get the ball in the endzone."
On whether he would have imagined that RB Bryce Brown would have 178 rushing yards: "Yeah. I think Bryce is a great running back. I think he's shown that all season. He's a very solid running back and he's a guy who this would be a great game for him to learn from as well and he's going to get better and work hard. He's got a great mentality every time he comes to work so I was really proud of Bryce tonight and I know he was proud of the O- Line for opening up those seams for him."
On when he would like to know whether he will start next week, so that he can prepare: "Like I've said before, I always prepare as if I'm the starter no matter what. First, second, third string. No matter what you are, I think you should. I learned that at a young age. You never know when it's going to happen. You always need to prepare yourself like you are the starter so when it does happen, you're ready. You don't want to go in there and not be ready for a game. That's the worst feeling ever."
On how much effort he puts into trying to prove that he can be the starting quarterback for the Eagles franchise: "I'm always myself. I stay true to who I am. I don't think specifically about that. My goal when I go to work is to be the best teammate, best player possible and to work at my craft, work every day to get better. If you do that, whatever happens, happens. That's how it goes. I don't really worry about things I can't control. All I can control is getting better."
On what the team is feeling after 7 straight losses: "It's definitely frustrating. It's tough. It's not been easy to lose all of these games but the guys have stuck together and we're going to continue to get better. We're going to continue to work. The season is not over. We have a game this coming week. I've said before I have a 24-hour rule with dealing with the game. I'll look at it. I'll learn from it. We get together as players and talk about it and then after that, it's onto the next game. You can't dwell on it and you've got to learn from it, treat the wins and losses the same. We've had a few more losses but the guys are sticking together. The coaches are sticking together and we'll keep working."
On what the key is to pushing forward: "You love your teammates. You love the organization you play for. We're very fortunate to do what we do. We can never forget that. I wake up every day and I can't believe I'm an NFL player. Something I dreamed about as a kid. I love playing the game and the reason I love playing the game is my teammates. You have the fans and I know it's tough for them but I get to go out there with my guys and play with them and that's something that's special. You can't do this forever and every moment we're out there practicing, playing, win or lose. We want to win every single game. We want to fight every single game. We're out there together and that's something really special. That's why we continue to work and we will continue to work because we love this game and we love each other.
On whether it would mean something special to start at Cowboys Stadium next week, as he grew up in Texas: "It's another game. It's very special. I'll be excited to play in another game against the Cowboys. I don't put too much into anything else. I'm from Texas but I got my guys here that no matter what, going to practice or whatever, that's what's important. We're going to continue to stay together and work together."
