Donovan's Injury. You've had a similar injury. Do you think he'll play next week? "No question. Donovan is resilient. He heals pretty fast. I think he'll be able to play next week its just how much will he be able to tolerate the pain. I'm sure he'll be very sore. He's not going to get much sleep these next few days. But Donovan's a tough guy."
What's the hardest thing about that injury? "Just dealing with the pain. Any time you brake a bone, or crack a bone, or whatever it is, you've got to deal with the pain. That's probably the toughest part."
Are you concerned that you might have to play without your starting QB next week? "You're always concerned when you lose a starter whether it's a quarterback or an offensive lineman or anybody else. We do have a lot of confidence in Kevin Kolb. I've watched him in practice the last couple of weeks, and he's been throwing the ball very well. He played well against the Jets. We're definitely confident in him and we're confident in the group we have around him."
Did you feel fresher with the start of the season? "No questions, I felt fresher. I'm still working on some things and trying to get a little bit better. I missed a couple of reads here and there. But for the most part, I felt pretty good."
Winning a big game? "It's sweet. We're pleased with the win, but of course we're disappointed that Donovan got hurt, or anybody gets hurt, we're disappointed."
On the offensive line's performance today: "I knew that they were going to go out and do a good job blocking. There are a lot of big physical guys in there. When I got into the game, those guys did a great job blocking up front. Like I said, I missed a couple of reads myself. We would have had a lot more yards if I had been able to read a little bit better. They did a great job."
How long does it take for you to get comfortable with them?"It took a couple of plays. We'll probably continue the process. Just getting everybody in there and just working together to continue the process. We gelled pretty good together this game, and we'll continue to get better."
