Game Vs. Redskins: HC Andy Reid

On injuries sustained in the game: "(LB Jamar) Chaney had a concussion, so I took him out. (S Tom) Nelson had an ankle sprain. Prior to the game, (DT Mike) Patterson had the flu, so he wasn't able to go. With (RB LeSean) McCoy, we just couldn't get him to the point where his ankle was right cutting laterally, so we kept him out. That's a big part of his game, and we just couldn't get him there by today, so we held him out."

On the victory: "I'm proud of the guys and the effort that they put into the game."

On whether the glass feels half empty or half full after finishing the season with four straight victories: "Right now, it feels like it's over. But it's a good way to start off the New Year."

On whether he feels he has done enough to return as head coach next season: "For all of those kinds of questions, I have no answers for you on all of that. I haven't thought about all of that, and I'm not going to start right now. I'm going to enjoy this win and the New Year."

On if he has thought about whether he wants to return next year for his 14th season as head coach: "I think I just said that, but that's alright. You can keep asking, and you'll get the same answer."

On when he will think about whether he wants to return for next season: "I'll think about it when I want to think about it. I haven't thought about anything going forward. I'm not there."

On ending the season with a victory: "I thought it was a heck of a game. I appreciate you asking. It was a good game. I appreciate the way the guys played and their toughness. It was a good hard-fought NFC East game."

On what it means to rally and finish the season with an 8-8 record: "I don't get caught up in that. Every game we just try to maximize and put our full effort into it. We didn't win enough (games) to keep going on, but I appreciate the guys battling all the way through the season until this last game. That part I appreciate."

On whether there is championship-caliber talent on the Eagles roster: "We're playing good football right now. Obviously that's a hindsight thing and we're not going to be able to see how we would do against playoff teams. We've been playing good football these last four weeks, and we feel like we could play anybody and win games. But again, during the offseason, you go back through, you evaluate it, and you break down the film. Then (general manager) Howie (Roseman) does his evaluations, the coaches do their evaluations, we put them all together and we go from there. But right now, we're playing good football."

On whether QB Michael Vick's two turnovers in today's game were representative of his turnover problems all season: "We'll go back and look at all of those turnovers and we'll learn from them. Michael will do that this offseason. You can't turn the ball over obviously, and you don't want to have as many turnovers as we've had. (Turnovers) happen for various reasons, but you just can't have that many. We'll go back and we'll evaluate all of that."

On whether the team's roster does not need the same level of player turnover as experienced prior to the 2011 season: "I think we're playing good football right now. But we'll go back and we'll evaluate everything. That's what we do. I'm not there right this minute, but we'll start this next week and make sure that we hit everything."

On his evaluation of defensive coordinator Juan Castillo's calling of the defense during the season-ending four game-winning streak: "I think he did a nice job. The defense played strong, and I thought he was proud of his coaches and players. They all played well and coached well."

On whether the offense adjusted its game plan due to the absence of RB LeSean McCoy: "No we really didn't. We just did our normal stuff. (Washington) was putting eight guys in the box, so we took some shots. (Redskins defensive coordinator) Jim (Haslett) was rolling his coverages pretty good, so we took some shots."

On whether the players will approach the offseason any differently after not making the playoffs: "I think they all want to be in the playoffs. I think we all do – the whole organization. Everybody has worked very hard to win a championship and so on. So you have that part of it. The other part is that we finished up positive, so you utilize that, and you learn to grow that feeling so that it goes into the following year. At the same time, you're humbled because you didn't make the playoffs, so you have to make sure that you crank, because we have to get better all the way around starting with me. Everybody needs to do their job better because this wasn't good enough. Today it was, so we're going to enjoy this for a little bit."

On whether the learning curve of defensive coordinator Juan Castillo played any role in the team not making the playoffs: "I'll go back and I'll look at all of that. I think the guys came together the last couple of weeks, but I'll look through all of that."

On the touchdown reception by WR DeSean Jackson: "That was a heck of a play. He was double-teamed like he has been for most of the year. The ball was actually thrown a little bit short. Michael (Vick) got a little bit of pressure and he put it up and DeSean weaved his way through and made the catch. It was a great play. Like he's been most of the year, he had a couple of people covering him. I'm proud of him this last half how he battled through and did a good job."
