(On getting the win after a short turnaround since last week's game…) "We had a couple guys joking and saying that it was the walkthroughs that we had instead of real practice [that led to the win], but guys did a great job this week of focusing in. Coach did a great job of making sure that we stayed focused. We've got some good, veteran leadership here and we made sure that guys stayed focused and made sure that because the coaches are taking it off of us physically [during the week], we've got to be more in tune mentally. We did a great job this week. It was probably our best week of practice even though it was a walkthrough, but it was our best week of practice as far as being sharp and communicating."
(On if his good health during the week of practice with his pectoral injury carried through to today…) "Yeah, it did. It kind of surprised me. Earlier in the week I thought it was just [adrenaline] still in my system on Monday, but Tuesday came and it still felt good. On Wednesday it still felt pretty good. The coaches were a little surprised that I throwing during the week, but it's a feel – if it feels good I'm going to go out there and practice. They were surprised that it came this week on a short week, but it came and we were able to get out there and practice and get all of the looks in. That was good for us."
(On what he saw on Marshawn Lynch's first touchdown run…) "I was carrying out my fake and I look back and I see him just fighting for yards. I see him about to come out, so I went down the field to try to get a block in. He busted up out of [the pile] and ended up cutting back and into the end zone. That's Marshawn. He always keeps his legs driving. He fights for every yard. Every carry he gets it's like his last carry. He fights for every yard and it shows. That's the type of guy you want behind you."
(On if this running game is closer to what Tom Cable has had in mind all year…) "Definitely. Coach has been preaching technique, helmet fits, running your feet and our guys have been doing it. He's been on Marshawn a lot about making sure he reads the guys right, reads the defense right and Marshawn is doing a great job of reading it. We've been on him about it and the linemen have been doing a great job of getting him holes to get through and he's been finding them and hitting the creases. Our tight ends, too, they're doing a great job. Receivers are doing a great job down field trying to get on those safeties because they have an extra safety in the box most of the time and they're doing a great job of getting in there. Then, it's just Marshawn making it happen."
(On Golden Tate's touchdown catch…) "It was good. Him going up and getting it – that was Golden. That's what he's good at – going up and getting the football. What was so good about the catch was him getting his toes down and he did a great job of concentrating, making the catch – first of all, and then getting his feet down in the back of the end zone. You know I appreciate that, so I take my hat off to him."
(On if this game tonight is the most complete game they've played all season…) "I think so. Penalties, we had five. We still have to work on it. We can get better at that. You always want zero [penalties]. It's the NFL and guys are going to make mistakes, but five is pretty good from where we came from. The defense did a great job. We have this thing called, 'Turnover Thursday' and today is Thursday and the defense had four turnovers, we had none – that was big for us. Special teams always plays great. They did a good job of containing a great punt returner. I think this was our best game as a team."
(On if they have any discussion during the game about protecting the lead and not giving it up like they did last week against the Washington Redskins…) "It popped in my head as soon as we got up and they went down the field and scored. The first thing that popped in my head, I made sure I went and told the guys, 'Let's not let this happen again this week. Let's learn from it and let's finish the game.' We ended up getting a big turnover, but if they had went down and scored we still would have had a chance to finish the game. I told them, 'Regardless of if they score or not, the ball is still in our hands and we can finish the game.' Luckily, Heater [David Hawthorne] got an interception and took it back to the house. Unfortunately for them [the Seahawks defense], they had to go right back on the field. It was a good all-around team win tonight and I'm proud of our guys."
(On how Golden Tate is maturing and taking advantage of his opportunities recently…) "He's learning the offense. He's got an aggressive offense. He's confident. He's always been a confident player, but he's making plays day in and day out at practice and it's carried over to the game. Whenever he gets in and he touches the ball he usually makes a play, so we want to utilize that. Unfortunately, Sidney [Rice] had to go down for him to get a little more playing time, but he stepped up and did a good job today."
