Philadelphia Eagles News

General Manager Howie Roseman

On how much better the team has gotten adding cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie:"This is a Pro Bowl caliber cornerback and an exciting guy to have on our team. He's got great ball skills, he's explosive, and he'll fit well with the kind of posture we're going with on defense."

On the Eagles trading quarterbacks Donovan McNabb and Kevin Kolb to upgrade their defense and get draft picks:"I'll just say that both of them are heck of players. Donovan obviously had a great career here and has a great opportunity for Minnesota. We think the world of Kevin Kolb and he's going to do a great job. This is really a win-win situation for both teams. Arizona got a quarterback in Kevin Kolb that is going to be a heck of a player for them, and we feel very strongly about Kevin Kolb. This was a great opportunity for both sides to improve their own teams."

On when the Eagles targeted Rodgers-Cromartie:"He was a guy we really liked coming out of the draft.  Obviously we evaluate all of the players in the National Football League. We saw a guy that really fit what we do.  He's an explosive guy with great ball skills."

On why they chose Rodgers-Cromartie when there were other cornerbacks in the free agent market:"We did want him. We evaluated all of the corners and we put DRC in that group. We're excited to get him and we think we have a heck of a player."
