Per Bengals.com, Gruden said he is "excited" about the opportunity to interview for head coaching jobs, but isn't sold on leaving the Bengals.
"I got called to interview for these jobs," Gruden said. "I figure I better say yes or they'll quit asking me.
"I think it will be a great experience and it's exciting. I have every intention of coming back here. We've got a great group of guys here. We're excited for the future here."
Gruden did add that he doesn't want to stay an assistant forever, but is waiting until "the time's right" to jump at the chance to be a head coach.
CBS Sports' Jason La Confora reported earlier that the Eagles would meet with Gruden on Wednesday, but that was later shot down by Tim McManus of Birds 24/7.
