Opening Remarks: "These are the guys that are out for this game: (T/G) Shawn Andrews his back flared up again and neither our people nor Shawn feels like he can make it through this game so he will not play and is out. (G/T) Todd Herremans is out. And then, (LB) Joe Mays with a shoulder sprain is out. Everybody else is up and ready to go. (RB) Brian Westbrook, we went indoors today, and Brian was out there, took a few plays and then went in. We tried to give him as little work on that turf as possible. He will be ready for the game. I look forward to the opportunity of playing the Carolina Panthers. We understand exactly what kind of football team they are. A very explosive offense and an aggressive defense and their special teams are very solid so it leads to be a heck of a game. We've got to make sure that we come out and play good, solid football all the way around."
On whether G/C Nick Cole and T Winston Justice are going to start: "Yes."
On whether he can count on Andrews for the long-term: "Well right now we'll just see. It's important that it calms down and we'll go from there. We'll just see how it responds here."
On bringing former Eagles T Jon Runyan in for a workout: "I wanted to just make sure that I got a look at him firsthand. I'm not going to get into how he looked and all of that, I just wanted to make sure that I saw him firsthand. We haven't done anything there, but it was good to see him and have him workout."
On whether that was the first time he's been brought in this preseason: "That was first time that he had actually done some drill work and been in."
On whether he had planned for Runyan to come in before the injury to Andrews: "I just wanted to make sure I had an opportunity to see it firsthand. Jon is a very honest guy so it wasn't that I didn't trust what he was saying or anything else I just wanted to see it firsthand and I had a chance to."
On how often they have spoken throughout the preseason: "It's mainly (head athletic trainer) Rick (Burkholder) who has talked to him. I just kind of followed his rehab there."
On whether there is any correlation between Runyan's visit and Andrews' injury: "No, that's not what that was all about."
On what changed between Wednesday and Thursday with Andrews' back: "He tweaked his back in practice and that's what happened."
On when Andrews told you he hurt his back: "He mentioned it on Thursday."
On whether he is frustrated with Andrews: "I just think it's a matter of his back getting better. That's how these things work; I said that right from the get-go. When you're dealing with backs they flare up and things happen."
On how much he can count on Andrews going forward: "I thought one of the real positives coming out of camp was Winston Justice and how he played. I thought it was valuable, valuable experience that he got in there. He will have an opportunity Sunday to play against two good football players and I just look forward to seeing him out there competing."
On whether Justice could win the starting job: "Absolutely, yeah just depending on how things go here."
On why he is having QB Michael Vick travel: "He hasn't really had a lot of experience with our football team on the road so this gives him an opportunity when he steps back in to be familiar with how we do things. He cannot be on the sidelines so he will not be down on the field or in the locker room. But it gives him an opportunity to go through the whole travelling process and the meetings and I think that's important for where he's at right now."
On Westbrook's injury: "He's fine. We've been trying to monitor him as much as we possibly can and just limit his reps."
On whether their treatment of Westbrook is anything out of the ordinary: "No, he's going to be fine."
On who is the third QB: "(Laughing) I can't tell you that."
