Injury report: "The two guys that are listed as out are [G/T] Todd Herremans and [CB] Dimitri Patterson. [WR] Kevin Curtis did not practice today, we just backed him off. He has a sore knee, so we'll just see how he does tomorrow. He was able to work through practice the last couple of days, but we'll just see how he does here. [S] Quintin Demps has a quad strain. Again, we have him listed as doubtful. Again, we'll see how he does here. It's the same one that held him out last week, but we'll take it day by day.
"[QB] Donovan [McNabb] is continuing to improve. He's doing a little bit more throwing. He's done all of that inside, but we have him listed as doubtful. We'll just take it from there and see how he does up until game day. [RB] Brian Westbrook didn't practice today with the ankle sprain, and he is listed as questionable. Again, it's a day-to-day thing with him right now. [We'll] just see how that works. [WR] DeSean Jackson did practice and did a nice job out there. [He] took all the reps."
Opening remarks: "Again, we look forward to playing the Chiefs. We know we're bringing them into Lincoln Financial Field here with Philly fans and that's always a tough venue for someone to come in and play. We look forward to getting them in here. We know what kind of football team they are. Their record does not speak to what they are, and they play very hard and aggressive. They have good schemes on both sides of the ball. They are getting production and points out of their special teams, so we have to make sure that all phases of our game are right and that we're playing smart, aggressive football."
On whether it's possible that the Eagles will sign LB Jeremiah Trotter during the bye week: "I had a chance to work Jeremiah out yesterday. Again, I just wanted to see where he was at. He had his knee taken care of after he left here, cleaned out. I wanted to get him in here and see him move around a little bit, which I thought he did a good job of. We'll take it from there. I haven't made any decisions on it one way or another, but I wanted to make sure that I had a pulse of where he was at physically."
On whether he thinks Trotter showed enough during his workout to be able to still contribute consistently in the NFL: "I thought he did a good job. With what we did with him, I thought he did a nice job. I thought he moved around well."
On whether he is concerned about the MIKE linebacker position: "We brought other people in at other positions to look at. We just want to make sure that we have everything lined up in case you need to go in that direction. I don't like the questions at the last minute on what people look like, so we're trying to do that in advance, get an idea of what they are."
On what has changed in Trotter over that past two years that they might consider bringing him back: "The thing I can tell you, I thought he moved around very well, that's what I thought. I think he felt a little bit better than what he did when he was here the last time, physically. It showed during the workout."
On whether Trotter's past experience here makes him a better option than other guys:"Not necessarily. It all depends on where you want to go with it and what position you're dealing with, and so on. There are a lot of things that go into it. I haven't made any [decisions]. There are no decisions that have been made here. We just observed where he's at."
On how Curtis will be listed on the injury report: "He is listed as doubtful."
On whether he would say he looked at Trotter the same way he looked at T Jon Runyan a few weeks ago: "Yeah, I would say that. Just see where he's at."
On whether QB Michael Vick will be listed as the second quarterback on Sunday: "I haven't determined that. You could figure it out from there. I do have some things in for him. He will be up and then we'll go from there and see what we do from that point."
On Vick saying in his interview on CBS that he thought he'd be with a team where he was the starting quarterback: "I think that's a great thing. Michael Vick has done nothing but an outstanding job since he's been here. He feels very grateful and fortunate that he's playing right now and has this opportunity. I didn't hear the interview so I can't tell you how that whole thing went. But I will tell you this: I love quarterbacks that like to play. If they don't, then that's probably the wrong position to be in and the wrong profession to be in."
On who would be activated if WR Kevin Curtis was unable to play: "[WR] Reggie [Brown] would be the one that would be up."
On who would start in Curtis' spot: "It would be [WR Jeremy] Maclin."
On whether there is still a possibility of bringing T Jon Runyan onto the team:"I thought Jon did a nice job when he was in. I want to make sure I keep everything open, which we've always done, and evaluate. That's part of my job description."
On whether G Max Jean-Gilles and G/C Nick Cole will start: "Yeah."
On whether G/T Stacy Andrews has made any progress: "Yeah, Stacy actually has had a pretty good week. It looks like he's a little bit stronger there, and he's working hard on that thing."
On whether he's considering Andrews, Cole and Jean-Gilles splitting time: "We'll see. We'll see how the game plays out. I'm not going to say either way."
On the swelling in RB Brian Westbrook's ankle: "His swelling is down."
On how Maclin has looked and how he feels about him potentially taking more reps on Sunday: "I like what I've seen. We eased him in last week and gave him a few more plays and so, if he has that opportunity to go this week I have confidence that he would do a nice job."
On whether he is concerned about Curtis' knee: "I've limited his reps just a little bit the last couple of days. And then today, I just felt like let's back off and take him off that thing and see how it feels tomorrow. Tomorrow is a walkthrough and we'll just see how it feels with a little rest. He's been going the whole time here full speed on the thing. I just thought it was the time, maybe we could take a little bit of a step back and we could get more production from him."
On whether Curtis just received treatment today: "Yeah that's what he did today. He just received treatment today."
On whether he is confident that Curtis' injury is minor: "Yeah that's how we feel about that."
On whether Curtis was 100% against Carolina and New Orleans: "I think he was sore as the game went on there. Again, that's where Jeremy came in and played a little bit more. We think structurally he's sound."
On whether Curtis is favoring one side or the other because he's coming off surgery: "He doesn't have the swelling. There's no swelling, it's just the soreness. That's possible. He could have changed his gait or whatever, that might be something. He just has soreness in there and he'll work through it."
On whether Westbrook has a regular ankle sprain or a high ankle sprain: "It's not a high ankle sprain."
On how much he thinks McNabb will benefit from not playing Sunday: "I can't tell you that rest wouldn't help him. I can't tell you that. I know that he's feeling pretty good right this minute. We'll see how he goes. I'll make a judgment call on that with Don and with the doctors and trainers as we get closer. But, we want to make sure we take it all the way up to game time to do that."
