Head Coach Andy Reid

Opening Comments: "Alright, real quick on injuries – (S) Nate Allen is listed as out, as is (G) Evan Mathis. Everybody else practiced and did well. (DE Juqua Parker) looked like he's doing okay, we'll just check on him, he's listed questionable on the list. We look forward to the challenge of playing the Arizona Cardinals; they've got a good football team. (Arizona Cardinals Head Coach) Ken Wisenhunt has done a nice job with that crew. We look forward to bringing them in here."

On Allen's injury: "Well you know, we're on a short week, so I think that comes into effect here. I think he'll be alright, you know, this next week. He's not ready yet."

On where Allen is at in the testing process: "He's gone through testing, yeah. He's going to have to keep doing it, he wasn't able to pass the test."

On why T King Dunlap will be starting at guard this Sunday instead of other players: "I mean you guys know because you've been out at practice, King has worked in there throughout training camp and now throughout the season. (Offensive Line Coach) Howard (Mudd) mixes and matches those guys all over the place. What seems a little strange, but to the guys, the offensive linemen, they're all familiar with him and he jumps in and he's okay there. A smart guy that has some game experience, playing experience, although it's not at that position, but it really doesn't matter. So he'll be fine."

On whether the team has prepared for both QB Kevin Kolb and QB John Skelton: "Well, we've looked at both guys. You have to. I probably think that Skelton is going to play, as opposed to Kevin. We have to take the time to make sure we understand both of them."

On whether what the Cardinals offense does changes based on who's at quarterback: "No, not really. (Skelton)'s been there for a couple years so he knows their system, I think they feel comfortable with him being in there and knowing what to do."

On what the Eagles have to do to contain WR Larry Fitzgerald: "Well, you've got to cover him, that's the obvious. He's a heck of a player. You give him too much space and obviously he can make a lot of plays. In its simplest form you've got to make sure that you know where he's at, and he's not the only one they have. He's a great player."

On how much he monitors, over the course of the season, the number of touches that RB LeSean McCoy gets each game and whether that factors into how much he is used the next game: "We do, we keep track of it, both in the run game and the pass game, number of snaps included. We talk with him, we talk with (Head Athletic Trainer) Rick (Burkholder), make sure he's doing okay. But we feel comfortable also with the other two guys. You've saw (RB) Ronnie (Brown) had a nice run, and (RB) Dion (Lewis)'s had nice runs, so we feel comfortable with them both in the run and the pass game. As the season goes on you'll probably see a little bit more of them, but LeSean is healthy and doing well."

On how he thinks McCoy does as far as protecting himself at the end of runs and making the decision whether to take on more contact or end the play: "I think he does a good job. He tries to get as small as he can, like the good running backs do that, that are his size. They want to get the extra yards, but at the same time you've got to narrow your body a little bit so that you don't take the giant hits that some of the bigger guys can give you, and he's good with that. He's got quick feet, which help. He can run low to the ground, which also helps. He's not a high target to hit."

On Vick's numbers in the first half of the season: "I don't get caught up in all that. What we do is we just keep working. Are there throws he would like to have back? Yes, there are throws he'd like to have back. I don't get into that. What we need to do as coaches is we need to do a better job at this and make sure that we're giving him the best options and we're being smart with it. Then, Michael needs to do his part with it, and the receivers need to make sure that they're doing their part."

On whether there is anything he needs to do that he hasn't done: "Just keep playing and being Michael Vick. That's the important thing."

On whether he has any thoughts about Joe Paterno and the Penn State scandal: "I really haven't followed it that closely. I've been pretty consumed with what we're doing here. I really don't have a comment on that."

On how secondary/safeties coach Mike Zordich is handling the situation: "He seems to be doing well. I can't tell you that he hasn't thought about it himself because he has a son that plays there and he played there. Penn State is pretty close to his heart. I'm sure he's thought about it."

On whether former Eagles scout Jon Sandusky's dad was ever here: "Yeah, he came by."

On whether he brought any kids with him: "No. He was Jon's dad, that's what I remember him as. He had been a coach, and that's all I remember about him. Jon was a good kid and he worked for me here. Good kid."

On whether he is surprised that this happened: "I really don't know the whole thing, and I'm not sure any of us know the whole thing. I'm not going to sit here and comment on this. It's not my place to do that and I really haven't followed it. I have everything I need to do right here to make sure that we're doing the right things to get ready for this game."

On whether he was an honorary board member on Sandusky's charity: "I don't think anybody is on it any longer. I didn't realize that there was one, and that's besides the point. I did do a couple events for him and it was a positive experience with the people I was with. So, I don't know how all that works."

On whether he knew his name was listed among other honorary board members: "I didn't until I was informed by (director of football media services) Derek (Boyko). I think that is how those work, though, when you do charity things is that they'll use your name. I think that's a common thing."

On whether he asked for his name to be removed: "They took everybody's name off, so everybody's name had been removed."
