Gruden met Thursday with the Arizona Cardinals for their head coaching position. It was the first-ever NFL head coaching interview for the 45-year-old Gruden, who has been a head coach in the Arena Football League and the UFL.

When asked if he had a meeting scheduled with the Eagles, Gruden said there was a "possibility" that he would meet with the team next week. Gruden has previously said that would be fine returning to Cincinnati for a third season as the team's offensive coordinator.

Gruden has earned praise for his work with Pro Bowl quarterback Andy Dalton, who has helped guide the Bengals to the playoffs in each of his first two NFL seasons.
