The Eagles claimed the prize of free agency shortly after 6 PM on Friday night when they agreed to terms with cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha on a five-year contract.
The four-time All-Pro selection isn't known for interceptions as he only has 11 for his career. How can Asomugha's impact be measured? Well, no cornerback in the NFL who was targeted at least 30 times in 2010 surrendered fewer completions than Asomugha, according to Stats, Inc. Targeted just 39 total times, Asomugha only allowed 13 receptions. Asomugha didn't give up a touchdown in 2010. He's only given up one scoring toss in the last three seasons.
Here's a detailed look at how many times teams threw at him since he became a full-time starter in 2005.
