LB Jamar Chaney
On the defensive struggles against QB Joe Webb:"It was just us being undisciplined. We practiced that all week, him scrambling. We were playing a receiver at quarterback in practice. It just comes down to us being disciplined."
On how the team will respond to a deflating loss like this:"We're going to respond; we don't have any choice. We didn't come this far and have this kind of a season to go out and get sad after one loss. Everybody is probably going to jump off the bandwagon, and say this-and-that about us. But we're going to go out and take care of business. We're going to take tomorrow to re-group and find out what we did wrong, and get back to work on Thursday. We don't want anybody feeling sorry for us, and we don't feel sorry for ourselves."
On the team's mental approach heading toward the postseason: "The regular season is pretty much out the window when the playoffs start. You can be 16-0 and lose in the playoffs, and your season is over. It's win or go home in the playoffs, and that's what we have to do -- take care of business."
CB Asante Samuel
On what happened tonight: "We didn't execute on offense, defense or special teams. It's a team effort and we didn't make the plays to win the game and they did."
On the Vikings crucial 3rd-down conversion in the 4th quarter: "They had a good call for the coverage. We had a linebacker matched up on a receiver and they got open and made the play."
On how he thought Vikings QB Joe Webb played: "He played pretty well. He's a good athlete. If he gets a chance, he will be a good player in the league."
On whether he still believes this is a Super Bowl caliber team:"We take it one day at a time. We have Dallas next week and then we have the playoffs. We will see how it goes."
On whether losing the opportunity to have a playoff bye hurts: "It is certainly big to have a bye week and only have to win two games to get to the Super Bowl. That is not the case now, so I guess we have to grind it out."
CB Joselio Hanson
On whether he will start the next game:"I'm looking forward to the next game. I'm just going to get better and better every week, every practice. If they let me stay out there with the starters, I'll love it."
On playing inside in nickel packages tonight: "Yes, I'll still go inside when we go to nickel."
On whether he said anything to CB Dimitri Patterson:"Yes, he was a little upset with that penalty he got. I just told him to shake it off and move on. I just told him shake it off and we're going to live to fight another day."
On the prospect of playing three games in 12 days:"It's the end of the season now. Especially with the lockout maybe coming, we might have a long rest. We've just got to go all-out right now."
On whether this was the worst loss of his career and where it ranks:"It's one of them. Those two losses last year to Dallas were pretty bad, too. I feel like we're the better team, but we weren't the better team today. It's a tough loss."
S Quintin Mikell
On the Eagles looking past the Vikings: "I don't want to say that. I feel like we were ready to play. I don't think we took them lightly. We knew they're a good team. They're a dangerous team with a good defense. We hadn't seen a lot from (QB Joe) Webb, so anything could happen in this type of game. For some reason, it seemed like we were out of sync, in all aspects, on all three phases. This isn't the time of year when we need that to be happening."
On Vikings QB Joe Webb: "I think he played good. He made some good reads, got the ball out quick and made some plays with his feet. It's tough when you haven't seen a lot of film on a guy and you don't know really what to expect. But we've got to play better on defense."
On whether the postponement hurt the team:"I don't know. That's possible, but you don't want to look at it like that. The bottom-line is we've got to play better. They were sitting in a hotel for two days. We've been able to get away and re-focus in, but for some reason, it just didn't seem like we were like that today."
On whether the team couldn't match the intensity of last week's emotional win: "I'm not going to sit here and say that. I felt like we were ready to play. I felt like we were intense. It's just that we were out of sync. To be honest with you, I don't know why. It's frustrating. This game hurts, but we've got a lot of football left and we've got to re-group quickly."
On Head Coach Andy Reid's statement that now the team doesn't deserve the bye week to start the playoffs:"I agree. We don't deserve the bye. We had it right there. We had the opportunity. The door was open for us, and we basically closed it on ourselves. Now we've just got to go back to work. We're going to have to take the long road, take the hard road, but hopefully it's a wake-up call."
On whether he expects the starters to rest in next week's game: "No, I'm expecting to play. I think we all should be ready to play. You don't want to go into the postseason after a game like that. We need to go out there and be ready to play."
