LB Stewart Bradley
On whether he is happy how they played as a unit in the game: "It's a small step and we still have a long way to go and we're trying every day. It's better than giving up two touchdowns, so we're headed in the right direction."
LB Ernie Sims
On whether the performance on Friday reflected on where he feels the defense is: "Yeah, we've been doing pretty well lately but we're still not where we want to be. We're still coming out here and we've got training camp two-a-days to keep coming out here and work hard."
On what it means to get that first preseason game out of the way: "It felt good. I didn't have to hit on my own teammates and it felt good to go up against an opponent and work on my skills and technique versus our opponent. It was fun being in the stadium and seeing the crowd, with the wave, and it was nice."
On whether he feels like he's ready to get the season going now: "Oh yeah, when it comes to be game time it's a totally different level. We're on the practice field now and two-a-days and your tired and everything, but once you get on that game field, you lose all of that come game time."
On whether it's tough to come back to training camp after playing the first preseason game: "Yeah, it is, but it's still training camp and that's the mentality you have to have. When the season starts rolling around we're going to start having a lot of fun."
