Here are news and notes from the Eagles' 36-21 win over the Giants on Sunday afternoon including running back LeSean McCoy's historic start ...

Start Spreading the News ... The Eagles have now won 9 of their last 11 games against the Giants, including a 6-1 mark in their last 7 games in New York ... The Eagles have 30-plus points in three of five games this year.

Jack-Attack ... WR DeSean Jackson led the team with seven receptions for 132 yards and his 33rd career receiving touchdown ... In five games this year, Jackson has three games with at least seven catches, 100 yards and one touchdown. This is the first time Jackson has ever had three games with seven-plus catches in the same season ... This was Jackson's 18th-career 100-yard game, moving him out of a tie with Tommy McDonald and into fourth place in franchise history. The Eagles are 13-5 in those games ... Jackson also moved out of a tie with Calvin Williams for ninth place on the team's all-time reception list with 302. He tied Ben Hawkins for 13th place in team history with his 33rd receiving score and eclipsed Pete Pihos for 11th on the team's all-time scrimmage yards list with 5,681.

I'll Take That ... The Eagles collected three fourth quarter interceptions, one each by LB Mychal Kendricks, CB Brandon Boykin, and CB Cary Williams, which led to 14 points in the final frame ... For Kendricks, it was his first-career interception. He also picked up his league-leading third fumble recovery ... Both Boykin and Williams have two interceptions this year ... According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the last time the Eagles had three fourth-quarter interceptions was on 10/15/89 at Phoenix Cardinals. 

On The Offensive ... The Eagles became the first team in NFL history to accumulate at least 1,200 passing and 875 rushing yards through the first five games of the season ... Their 2,274 total net yards in 2013 are the most ever by an Eagles team through five games and the eighth-highest total in NFL history ... They also became the fourth team in NFL history to pile up at least 400 yards of total offense in each of their first five games (2011 Patriots, 2007 Patriots, 2004 Vikings, 1983 Chargers. The Broncos can also do it, pending their game this afternoon).

Offensive Quick Hits ... RB LeSean McCoy rushed for 46 yards and his 33rd-career touchdown. His 514 rushing yards are the most ever by an Eagle through five games and his 33 rushing scores moved him out of a tie with Randall Cunningham and into fourth place in Eagles history ... Playing in his 100th career game, TE Brent Celek caught his 22nd-career touchdown and his fourth against the Giants since 2009 ... QB Nick Foles threw for 197 yards and two touchdowns for a career-high 114.9 rating ... QB Michael Vick had 79 rushing yards in the first half and improved his record against NFC East foes as the Eagles starting quarterback to 11-4.

Third Time's a Charm ... The Eagles have converted 32 of 71 third down opportunities this season (45.1%). The team record for a full season is 44.4% set in 1981.

Birdseed ... K Alex Henery set a career high with five field goals, tying for the second-highest total ever by an Eagle in a single game and the most since David Akers had five on 11/18/01 at Dallas. The team record is six by Tom Dempsey on 11/12/72 at Houston Oilers ... TE Zach Ertz has seven catches this year, four of which have covered 20-plus yards, including a 24-yarder today ... With 3,378 career receiving yards, WR Jason Avant moved past Timmy Brown and Charlie Smith and into 16th on the Eagles all-time list.
