- As expected, the Eagles placed wide receiver Steve Smith on the Physically Unable to Perform list. He remains there until he practices, and nobody has a definitive date on that.
- DeSean Jackson is on the practice field looking like he was here the whole time. He looks great. Jackson is in fine spirits and he is ready to go. His presence makes the one-on-one work between wide receivers and defensive backs more interesting, to say the least.
- With injuries to King Dunlap and Fenuki Tupou, the Eagles added rookie free agent Spencer Johnson and veteran tackle Joe Toledo to the offensive line. Also, rookie Jerrod Johnson Johnson was released. There are three quarterbacks in camp now.
- Defensive tackle Brandon Collier was waived/injured settlement after he was injured early in training camp.
- What to look for this week? Let's see how the depth chart changes, if at all. Defensive tackle is an interesting position to watch. The secondary has a lot of moving parts. And, of course, linebacker is always going to be worth keeping an eye on.
- Nothing new to report on Jeremy Maclin.
- Defensive tackle Mike Patterson is on the field. More on his return later. To what extent he is participating remains to be seen. But he is back, and that is great, great news.
- The television rating for Thursday's game was an 18.2 and the share was 30. That means 549,000 households watched, with 813,000 viewers. That matched the rating for the game two preseasons ago when the Jaguars visited Lincoln Financial Field, Michael Vick's first game as an Eagle. Thanks, fans. More to come!
