Opening remarks: "The last ball game, the young guys, the first-time starters stepped up and played pretty well. We have a pretty good challenge with this team coming in. They played very well last ball game. They were in a position to win the game. Their defense played very well last week, exceptional on third downs, I thought. So, we have a good challenge."
On calling the right plays at the right time when you have so many weapons:"It's a good thing. We put a little bit more heat on the defense with all those possibilities."
On using both RB LeSean McCoy and RB Brian Westbrook, and how he envisions that working: "Again, the defense has to make some choices. Are they going to play base to that? Or are they going to play nickel to that? You put a little pressure on the defense just by personnel group. Then, the things you can do are really endless with that."
On whether less touches for Westbrook would make him more effective and allow him to stay healthy: "You don't know that, and when you do, you can't go back and play the game a different way. You don't know that. I would think that Brian, when he's healthy, could handle a big load. We've talked about it before; every game is different, gameplan-wise going in at least. Things change during the game, certainly."
On whether Westbrook is healthy right now: "Yeah. He looks a little bit healthier than he did before the bye and before the last ball game."
On whether the days of having one big back are almost over: "I haven't studied that in depth. It's been over for a while with few exceptions. This is a tough, physical game. It's become very specialized as well. Many teams have a normal-down back and then a third-down back and then a change-up guy. I think it's been over for quite some time with a few exceptions, with those rare special players, which Brian was and is."
On where WR Jeremy Maclin is right now: "Jeremy did a good job last week. He did a good job. Maybe caught four or five balls. It's been so long now that I'm away from that game. He played well, so we'll keep him going and try and get (WR) Kevin (Curtis) healthy as quick as we can. Kevin is doing better. That (knee) is feeling a little bit better."
On head coach Andy Reid going for his 100th regular-season win: "It's an amazing thing, first of all. Coaches tend to move around a little bit more. The winning percentage is huge, one of the very best. That's a good thing."
On whether he sees QB Donovan McNabb being limited in any way on Sunday: "It doesn't look like he has any discomfort at all going right or left. We talked about that briefly yesterday. There will be no restrictions for him."
On whether they will use FB Leonard Weaver more in the run and pass game: "Yeah, we certainly could do that. Some of those opportunities in the pass game come naturally for a fullback. Certainly, there are some plays designed for him as well. Then, in the run game, we certainly could use him because he is a fine runner. Now, we have some good runners in Brian and LeSean and even (RB Eldra Buckley), there will be specific situations."
On rotating the offensive line, specifically G/T Stacy Andrews and G Max Jean-Gilles: "We feel like both of these men are starters, so I think it's a unique situation on the offensive line to do it, because we've talked about this before, it's so important to play at a high level as a unit. You can play pretty good as individuals and still not play well as a unit. It is a little bit unique that way. (Offensive line coach) Juan Castillo does a tremendous job with those guys up front, so it's worked up to this point. It's not necessarily to keep them fresh like it is on the d-line."
On whether rotating players on the offensive line threatens their continuity: "No, in fact, it's pretty good. All those guys have gotten a lot of reps, so it's worked. It's worked up to this point."
On how he decides who goes in when: "That is decided upon usually a little bit later in the week, in specific plays or series."
On whether there is a plan going in: "There is a plan going in almost always with our personnel."
On whether it is a run/pass thing:"No, it's not a run/pass."
On whether that plan could change:"It could."
On whether McNabb has to be exceptionally careful any time he throws near CB Ronde Barber: "Yeah, Ronde is a heck of a player. He's still playing at a high level. He does take calculated risks. The risks that he takes are usually in his favor. That comes with his natural ability and instincts, as well as the experience that he has. We'll know where Ronde is every play."
On whether Tampa's defense has changed with Monte Kiffin leaving: "It's changed quite a little bit, schematically."
On whether the Buccaneers have gone away from Cover 2: "They do play a little bit of what they made famous, the Tampa 2. They play several different schematic ways to play two deep. They do it a few different ways. They are playing a little bit quarters, then they play some of their men – they are very aggressive in their man coverage. They do still play some of that Tampa 2, but it's not quite at the rate that they used to."
On Buccaneers CB Aqib Talib:"He's a good player."
On whether he has seen an improvement in the continuity of the offensive line as the season has gone on:"Yeah, we've gotten a little bit better. Like we've discussed before, one of our goals is to get better every day, and our offensive line has done that. (I have) great confidence in our offensive line. They have a chance to be a pretty good unit there."
On what T Winston Justice has shown over the past three games:"He's an NFL player. He can play, and he can play at a high level. We all know he was an exceptional athlete for that position, and he's worked hard, he's refined his skills, he's playing in a physical matter. He's doing a nice job."
On whether he always believed that Justice had it in him to be a starter: "There was a great possibility, personally, I thought, and even more so after he made some of those errors early in his career, because of the way he handled it. He's always had the skill and ability, so I thought there was a high chance of that."
On whether switching Justice over to the right side helped him: "That's a good point. I do think it did help him just a little bit, yeah."
On whether he has ever seen an offense that rotated guards: "I've never done it, personally, but it's worked so far. Look, if they are good players, it will generally work if they are getting enough repetitions. So, strategically in practice you have to get enough for both, so we've done that up to this point."
On how it will work once G/T Todd Herremans comes back:"We'll see when that happens. Todd is getting closer and closer."
On why he is rotating the guards if it's not to keep them fresh: "Both of those men are starting caliber. We have one man that is coming off a major knee injury late last year. I don't think it's a conditioning or a fatigue situation, it's not that. Coming off a knee (injury) is involved in that."
On whether this rotation at guard will last all year: "There's a possibility. Things change and they change fast, we know that. They are both doing a nice job."
On whether he approaches the game differently with McNabb coming off an injury: "No, Donovan and I had a quick discussion yesterday along that, just in general. I don't think there is any reason at all to change the mentality going into the game. I think he's feeling really good. Like I said, there are absolutely no restrictions. It doesn't appear right now, for him the way he's moving and grooving out on the practice field."
On whether McNabb's rib injury makes him rethink some Wildcat formations:"Yeah, sure."
On why he thinks they've been so successful using TE Brent Celek and WR Jason Avant in the middle of the field: "That's a little cyclic in some cases, first. Second, they are both excellent players in the middle. They both have a great feel. Third, the matchups that we've had have been pretty good there. Those things change from game to game, but all of those things combined, we've been able to attack that area on the field with both of those guys and others as well."
On whether he thinks they are more successful in the middle of the field because WR DeSean Jackson is emerging on the outside:"Yeah, that's part of it."
