The Eagles confirmed a report from Comcast SportsNet's Derrick Gunn on Monday evening that offensive tackle Jason Peters re-ruptured the Achilles tendon he first injured back in March.
No other details were offered by the team.
Following the conclusion of Monday's rookie camp, head coach Andy Reid updated the injury situation for the entire team. When he mentioned Peters, Reid simply said that he was out indefinitely.
After the All-Pro tackle suffered the injury training this offseason in Texas, the Eagles signed free agent Demetress Bell, who was the team's top free agent target, and re-signed veteran King Dunlap. The Eagles also drafted Dennis Kelly in the fifth round in April.
