According to a report from Aaron Wilson on National Football Post, Washington State safety Deone Bucannon will meet with the Eagles this week.
The 6-foot-1, 211-pound safety led the Pac-12 with 109 tackles in 2013. He also intercepted five passes and forced three fumbles, finishing the season as a finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award, given to the best secondary player in college football. Known for his hard-hitting style, Bucannon is projected to be a second-round pick, but it appears as if his draft stock is on the rise. He ran a 4.49 40-yard dash at the combine, the third-fastest of any safety. He also ranked third among all safeties in the three-cone drill, bench press and vertical jump as well.
Wilson also writes that Bucannon has worked out privately for three teams, including the Eagles, and that he has at least 10 official visits planned with NFL teams.
