Per Garafolo's report, the Chiefs are putting together their plan for the quarterback position and are considering Foles as a potential option. However, as Garafolo points out, it's "unlikely" that the Eagles would make Foles available in a trade.
In his press conference Monday, head coach Chip Kelly stressed that the quarterback job will be an "open competition" and that the job "will be won on the field." If he is not traded, Foles is expected to compete with quarterbacks Michael Vick and former Oregon standout Dennis Dixon, whom the Eagles added on Thursday.
Foles started six games his rookie year and played in seven. In those games he completed 161-of-265 passes for 1,699 yards, six touchdowns and five interceptions. He also ran for 42 yards and a score. Foles set Eagles rookie records for yards, attempts and completions.
